Apparatus and methods for distributing and displaying emergency communications
Methods and systems are disclosed for event management, allowing authorized users or authorities to distribute and display communications on digital displays. In one aspect, an event management communications system receives event data sent from a detection system comprised of a network of sensors. The event management communications system processes the event data to determine an event perimeter, and then selects one or more digital displays based upon the event data or the determined event perimeter. Next, the event management communications system authors one or more contextual communications corresponding to the one or more digital displays and sends said one or more authored communications to said one or more digital displays, thereby allowing the one or more digital displays to display the corresponding one or more communications to a relevant, identified audience.
Remote video triggering and tagging
A video collection system collects and sends metadata related to video data such that recording may be triggered and tagged. The video collection system utilizes a mobile broadband network (such as a cellular network) to send metadata, receive triggers, and perform other functions while the video collection system is in the field. The video collection system broadly comprises a plurality of video cameras and a video collection manager. The video cameras each include a mobile broadband modem or other wireless communication element for sending metadata messages. In some embodiments the mobile broadband modem may also send still images, audio data, and video data.
MULTI-SENSOR MOTION DETECTION
Use of multiple sensors to determine whether motion of an object is occurring in an area is described. In one aspect, an infrared (IR) sensor can be supplemented with a radar sensor to determine whether the determined motion of an object is not a false positive.
EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEMS WITH TRACKED USER INTERACTIONS
Aspects discussed herein relate to providing alerts to a community of devices located in or near a geographic are such as a building or property. The alerts override any alert-inhibiting state of the mobile device to deliver audio, visual, and/or haptic alerts in emergency situations. The communication and emergency alert system may be used to communicate with many different communities of people. Moreover, certain individuals may be members of more than one community at the same time, and the communities themselves may change over time based both on the user's preferences and on their physical locations. User interaction with their mobile devices and/or provided alerts can be monitored and tracked to determine engagement with the emergency alert system. Additional alerts can be provided on other devices associated with the user until the user is confirmed to have received the alert.
Mobile-initiated SMS cell broadcast
An alert message may be sent to a limited radius of electronic device users by an authorized user. The authorized user may use a smartphone application or may simply use a standard SMS messaging capability of the ‘electronic device to enter a request that includes at least a radius and message text. A base station or other processing entity may evaluate the authenticity of the request based on known caller ID information, receipt of a user identifier and/or authorization code. When the message is qualified as genuine, a requested radius for broadcasting the message may be used to determine what cell sites need to be included in the message broadcast to reach electronic devices in the requested radius.
Security and public safety application for a mobile device
A computer-implemented method for tracking a user includes: configuring a client device for entering: a starting point for a trip, a destination, mode of transportation, and indication of starting the trip; configuring the server for identifying a preferred route based upon: a distance of the trip, a crime rate of areas between the starting point and destination, and the mode of transportation; configuring the server for calculating an allotted time for the trip; configuring the client device for continuously transmitting its location to the server; configuring the server for continuously monitoring the location of the client device; configuring the client device for selectively transmitting an alarm message to the server when the client device deviates beyond a threshold amount from the preferred route or the allotted time for the trip; and configuring the server for notifying a family member and local police when the panic alarm message is received.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING FLOOD EARLY WARNING INFORMATION IN SMART CITY BASED ON INTERNET OF THINGS
The present disclosure provides a method and system for generating flood early warning information in smart city based on Internet of Things (IoT). The method includes: obtaining precipitation information of a target area within a target time period through a meteorological management platform, and obtaining road ponding information of each road in the target area; obtaining environmental information of each road in the target area through a geographic information system; obtaining drainage capacity information of the target area through a water affairs platform; and determining the flood early warning information based on the precipitation information, the drainage capacity information, the road ponding information, and the environmental information, wherein the flood early warning information includes a first flood early warning information and a third flood early warning information.
Social information providing system, social information distribution apparatus, and user terminal apparatus
According to one embodiment, a social information distribution apparatus apportions and accumulates, for items classified, basic information including a position of each of a plurality of information sources and social information transmitted in time series from each of the plurality of information sources, analyzes the accumulated social information, modifies and processes the social information, updates the social information as some of the items, selects social information to be broadcast, determines a broadcast format including at least classification of broadcast ranges, a broadcasting time, and a repetition count within the broadcasting time when broadcasting the selected social information, and transmits the selected social information to a designated broadcast range by a broadcast wave.
CELLULAR-BASED ALERTS IN DISTRIBUTED APPLICATIONS
Systems and methods present practical applications to directing emergency alerts from cellular-based message distribution systems to distributed desktop applications via a desktop application gateway. Logic in the desktop applications and their corresponding IP network gateways for the desktop application may direct alerts from the cellular-based system to distributed desktop applications having a connection to the gateway. A distributed application may determine a location of the user and include enhancements to display the alert at a user's computing device. The gateway for the distributed application may store the location information for each logged-in user or registered instance of the user. An interface between the cell broadcast center and the distributed application gateway may allow the gateway to receive the alert, including a region for distributing the alert, from the cell broadcast center, and send the alert to all registered users with a location matching the alert region.
Methods and apparatus for providing notifications in a media system
A system to convey user alert messages is disclosed. The system may have a alert service coupled between alert providers and a number of households. After receiving in the alert service an alert message from an alert provider, the alert service may altar the alert message to identify the household designated to receive the alert message. The alert service sends a notification to a home media system within the household designated to receive the alert message.
