Information processing device, information processing method, and system

An information processing device includes a control unit configured to: acquire information on a destination of a user who uses a resting unit including equipment on which the user is able to sleep, information on an arrival time at the destination, and information on a place in which the user uses the resting unit; transmit a command to a traveling unit configured to be coupled to the resting unit and carry the resting unit such that the traveling unit is coupled to the resting unit and arrives at the destination at the arrival time; and transmit a command to a stimulation device configured to stimulate the user who is using the resting unit such that the stimulation device is activated before the traveling unit is coupled to the resting unit or before the traveling unit departs for the destination after being coupled to the resting unit.

Application monologue for self-driving vehicles

The technology includes communicating the current status of a self-driving vehicle to users, such as passengers within the vehicle and other users awaiting pickup. Certain information about the trip and vehicle status is communicated depending on where the passenger is sitting within the vehicle or where the person awaiting pickup is located outside the vehicle. This includes disseminating the “monologue” of a vehicle operating in an autonomous driving mode to a user via an app on the user's device (e.g., mobile phone, tablet or laptop PC, wearable, or other computing device) and/or an in-vehicle user interface. The monologue includes current status information regarding driving decisions and related operations or actions. This alerts the user as to why the vehicle is taking (or not taking) a certain action, which reduces confusion and allows the user to focus on other matters.

VEHICLE ALLOCATION CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE ALLOCATION CONTROL SYSTEM, AND VEHICLE ALLOCATION CONTROL METHOD

A vehicle allocation control device, when a forgotten item in the vehicle is detected after setting a first travel route including a drop-off place, is configured to: calculate a first time at which the vehicle arrives at the drop-off place by travelling along the set first travel route, set at least one second travel route which is different from the first travel route and goes through a facility for depositing the forgotten item, calculate a second time at which the vehicle arrives at the drop-off place by travelling along the second travel route, and change the first travel route to the second travel route where a time difference between the first time and the second time is equal to or less than a permissible time.

INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM

A server acquires, from a terminal owned by a user, pairing information in which a user ID for identifying the user and a mobility ID for identifying a mobility used by the user are associated with each other; continuously acquires, from the terminal, terminal position information indicating a position of the terminal and associated with the user ID; specifies a user ID of a user using the mobility that is stopped, based on the pairing information; and determines, as position information of the mobility, the terminal position information associated with the user ID having been specified.

An automatic vehicle positioning management system includes an on-vehicle apparatus and a portable device. The on-vehicle apparatus, installed on a vehicle, acquires a first location of the vehicle through wireless positioning. The first location is sent to the portable device which acquires a second location of the vehicle through GPS. When multiple vehicles form a fleet, each vehicle respectively sends its first and second locations to a server through its portable device. The second location of each vehicle is corrected by operations of point error analysis, image overlay and point error correction, so that the fleet can be managed more precisely.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM PRODUCT

According to one embodiment, an information processing device includes: a first memory; a first receiver; a first determination section; and a first transmitter. The first memory is configured to store first image data of interior of a vehicle at a first point in time. The first receiver is configured to receive second image data of the interior of the vehicle at a second point of time from the vehicle. The first determination section is configured to determine whether a change has been caused in the interior of the vehicle between the first point in time and the second point in time. The first transmitter is configured to transmit first data based on the determination result.

REDUCING PATHOGEN TRANSMISSION IN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE FLEET
20230211756 · 2023-07-06 · ·

An autonomous vehicle (AV) implements a health protocol that may reduce pathogen transmission between users of the AV. The AV is equipped with a thermal sensor that captures a body temperature of a user. The AV compares the user’s temperature to a threshold temperature, and if the user’s temperature exceeds the threshold temperature, the AV performs checks to ensure that the user’s planned trip follows current regulations or recommendations. For example, the AV confirms that the user is traveling between the user’s home and a healthcare facility. If the trip is permitted, the AV enables the user to enter the AV. The AV may include a disinfectant system for disinfecting the passenger compartment or surfaces after the user exits the AV.
