Method and system for providing real-time virtual feedback
11726550 · 2023-08-15 · ·

Accordingly, embodiments herein disclose a method for providing real-time virtual feedback using an electronic device. The method includes receiving, by the electronic device, motion data of each segment in a multi-segment body part of a first user. Further, the method includes determining, by the electronic device, a posture information of each of the segment in the multi-segment body part based on the motion data of each of the segment in the multi-segment body part of the first user. Further, the method includes determining, by the electronic device, a degree of similarity between the posture information of each of the segment in the multi-segment body part of the first user and a posture information of each segment in a multi-segment body part of a second user. Further, the method includes providing, by the electronic device, a virtual feedback to the first user based on the degree of similarity.

GARMENT WITH DIRECTIONAL INDICIA FOR VISUALIZING AND REMEMBERING A COORDINATED MOVEMENT OF BODY SEGMENTS
20220132956 · 2022-05-05 ·

The present invention is directed to a garment for assisting a user to instantaneously visualize and remember a coordinated movement of body segments at the moment before and/or during the task. The coordinated movement can be related to any physical task such as sports, therapy, aerobics, dance, etc. The garment according to the present invention comprises an arrangement of arrows in or on a fabric of the garment, wherein the position of the arrows relative to body segments and the direction of the arrows indicates the direction in which the related body segment should be moved and/or aligned.

Automated evaluation of acting performance using cloud services

Methods, apparatus and systems related to automated evaluation of acting performance are disclosed. In one example aspect, a system for an automated evaluation of performance activities includes a user interface configured to allow a user to create a customized automated evaluation service. The user can select a subset of machine learning engines from one or more available machine learning engines to create such service. The user interface is further configured to receive a set of input data of a performance performed by a performer. The system includes the one or more available machine learning engines each configured to generate a sub-score in a specific area using the set of input data received from the user interface. The system also includes an aggregator configured to produce an output indicating a quality of the performance.

REAL-TIME SYNCHRONIZATION OF MUSICAL PERFORMANCE DATA STREAMS ACROSS A NETWORK
20220130273 · 2022-04-28 ·

The systems and methods taught herein are generally directed to a dynamic point referencing of an audiovisual performance for an accurate and precise selection and controlled cycling of portions of the performance. The dynamic point referencing can be used by a learning artist, for example, in analyzing or performing a portion of the work through an accurate and precise digital audio/video instructional method having the controlled cycling feature. Such systems and methods will be appreciated, for example, by musicians, dancers, and other enthusiasts of the performing arts.

User interface system for movement skill analysis and skill augmentation

A cue processor uses one or more sensors to obtain motion data for a user performing a physical task in an environment. A cueing law is based on a model determined from the motion data, for example a movement and skill model where the collected motion data are parsed into one or more movement units used to accomplish a range of outcomes. The cue processor generates a movement phase estimation to predict a movement phase and associated movement feature, and applies the cueing law to generate a cue signal. The cue signal is communicated to the user as a visual, audio or haptic stimulus, selected to target the feature for the user to achieve or improve a desired outcome.

Kit for enhancing a pointe shoe including a pointe shoe cover with sensors for activating a light when standing en pointe
11758970 · 2023-09-19 · ·

Disclosed is a kit for enhancing a pointe shoe for improving a dance technique or a dance performance by a performer. An example kit includes a pointe shoe cover comprising a body portion made from a material including at least polyester and configured to envelop the pointe shoe, a light-emitting diode (LED) ribbon, affixed to the body portion, affixed to at least a vamp or a binding of the pointe shoe cover, one or more membrane switches, affixed to the toe portion, configured to activate when the performer stands en pointe during the dance performance, a toggle switch configured to switch between different modes of the LED ribbon, a button cell affixed to an external side portion of the body portion, at least one wire connecting the button cell to the LED ribbon, the toggle switch, and the one or more membrane switches.

VIBROTACTILE CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Methods and systems are disclosed to facilitate creating the sensation of vibrotactile movement on the body of a user. Vibratory motors are used to generate a haptic language for music or other stimuli that is integrated into wearable technology. The disclosed system in certain embodiments enables the creation of a family of devices that allow people such as those with hearing impairments to experience sounds such as music or other input to the system. For example, a “sound vest” or other wearable array transforms musical input to haptic signals so that users can experience their favorite music in a unique way, and can also recognize auditory or other cues in the user's real or virtual reality environment and convey this information to the user using haptic signals.

Full scale practice, training and diagnostic system method and software medium including highlighted progression illuminations and field embedded pressure sensors for use by positional players in sole and team-based sports as well as other non-athletic training applications
