Methods and devices for minimizing and maximizing displayed output associated with applications are provided. More particularly, an application presented across two or more screens of a device in a landscape mode can be minimized to present portion of the application in one of the screens. With respect to a maximization operation received with respect to a page of an application results in the expansion of the displayed portion of the application to multiple screens of the device. Input to effect minimization and maximization operations can be entered in one or more gesture capture regions associated with the screens.

Provided is an image displaying apparatus including a display configured to display a first image; a checker configured to check a correlation between the first image and a second image by analyzing the first and second images; a determiner configured to determine a change effect to be applied when the display is changed from a state of displaying the first image to a state of displaying the second image, based on the correlation; and a changer configured to change an image displayed on the display from the first image to the second image by applying the change effect.

According to one disclosed embodiment, an approach is provided in which a multi-workspace request is received at a machine while the machine is operating in a single workspace mode and while the machine is displaying a first single workspace on a display screen accessible by the machine. The machine includes a number of single workspaces and each of the single workspaces has spaces to display a number of tiles that each correspond to an application. A multi-workspace mode is displayed on the display screen, with the displaying of the multi-workspace mode including displaying a set of the single workspaces on the display screen. Each of the set of single workspaces is displayed in a reduced size in comparison to the single workspace mode.

Methods and apparatus relating to an adaptive multibit bus for energy optimization are described. In an embodiment, a 1-bit interconnect of a processor is caused to select between a plurality of operational modes. The plurality of operational modes comprises a first mode and a second mode. The first mode causes transmission of a single bit over the 1-bit interconnect at a first frequency and the second mode causes transmission of a plurality of bits over the 1-bit interconnect at a second frequency based at least in part on a determination that an operating voltage of the 1-bit interconnect is at a high voltage level and that the second frequency is lower than the first frequency.
