A multi-layer bezel for a flexible information handling system (IHS) display may include a die-cut polycarbonate rectangular frame layer, a die cut low durometer foam layer, aligned with and disposed below the polycarbonate rectangular frame layer and a polymer layer aligned with the polycarbonate rectangular frame layer. In various implementations the rectangular frame layer may have a first open-sided rectangular frame segment and a complementary second open-sided rectangular frame segment. The die-cut polycarbonate may be transparent and back-printed with sensor openings for IHS components. The bezel may be a multi-layer stack-up that is die cut to define the bezel. Alternatively, the bezel may be defined by a domed polyurethane upper layer disposed on the die cut polycarbonate rectangular frame layer on a side of the polycarbonate rectangular frame layer opposite the die cut low durometer foam layer.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE

An electronic device includes a display panel having a display surface that includes a first region and a second region. The display panel outputs a first light in the first region and a second light in the second region. The first light has a first normal brightness in a first orthogonal direction and a first oblique brightness in a first inclined direction. The second light has a second normal brightness in a second orthogonal direction and a second oblique brightness in a second inclined direction. The included angles between the orthogonal directions and the corresponding inclined directions are acute angles. A ratio of a difference between the first normal brightness and the second normal brightness to the first normal brightness is less than a ratio of a difference between the first oblique brightness and the second oblique brightness to the first oblique brightness is defined as a second ratio.

An electronic device able to be operated with a first state and a second state includes a substrate and light emitting units. When the electronic device is extended along a direction from the first state to the second state, the substrate has a first width in the first state and a second width in the second state in the direction, and the second width is greater than the first width. The light emitting units are disposed on the substrate and can be in a mode of ON. The number of the light emitting units being in the mode of ON in the second state is greater than that in the first state. The numbers of the light emitting units being in the mode of ON per unit area of the substrate while in the first state and second state are respectively defined as PPA_1 and PPA_2, and 1.5×PPA_1≥PPA_2≥0.5×PPA_1.
