The mixing container(s) can be used by a professional hair colorist to provide a hair coloring client with custom hair coloring formulation and peroxide that can be mixed and applied by or for the client to hair regrowth that occurs after a hair coloring session with the professional. The kit can provide other components as desired, such as a mixing spatula, an applicator brush, and instructions for example. The kit can be packaged in attractive and efficient packaging, include indicia identifying the source of the kit, and be customized to promote the colorist, salon, or other entity.

FORMULA DELIVERY HEAD

A formula delivery appliance generally includes a formula delivery head having features to mix, direct, and distribute formulation through nozzles to a desired location, such as the hair or scalp of a user. In this regard, the formula delivery head may include a plurality of nozzles configured to discharge the formulation at a desired flow rate. In some instances, the flow rate across the plurality of nozzles is controlled such that each nozzle has a flow rate within a specified percentage of the average flow rate across the plurality of nozzles.

FORMULA DELIVERY DEVICE

A formula delivery system can be used in conjunction with hair and scalp treatment appliances to supply a hair treatment formulation to the appliance. In one aspect, the formula delivery system delivers hair coloring formulation to the appliance. Formula delivery systems of the present disclosure generally include at least one fluid container configured to retain a volume of formulation for delivery of the formulation to a hair coloring appliance. In this regard, the formula delivery system may be configured to removably couple to an inlet member of the appliance that allows the appliance to draw the formulation from the fluid container for use within the appliance.

DRIVE SHAFT COUPLING

A drive shaft coupling is provided, such as a coupling used with a formula delivery appliance. The drive shaft coupling generally includes a drive gear and a driven gear, with one of the drive gear and driven gear having a biasing member to allow axial translation. The drive shaft coupling is generally configured to transfer rotation from the drive gear to the driven gear. In one aspect, the drive shaft coupling is capable of alignment and coupling of the drive gear and driven gear upon the radial sliding of the coupling from a non-engagement position to an engagement position.

The brushhead includes a generally central throughhole extending between the bottom surface and the opposing top surface. The pump is coupled to the brushhead via the tip of the housing such that actuation of the plunger causes a portion of the composition stored in the housing to be dispensed on at least a portion of the bristle bundles.
