A shoulder supported carrier structure supports percussion instruments on shoulder shoulders of a user is disclosed. A connecting member that spans between the shoulder supporting member behind the user or performer. The connecting member is joined to an arm that is connected to at a back member that allows the back member to pivot and translate relative to the two shoulder supporting members to allow the back member to align with a back of a user. The connecting member may be joined to the one arm with a frictional connection. The arm may be connected to the back member with a frictional connection. The back member at least partially contours to the shape of the back and may further include an inflatable cushioning bladder and is positioned between and under shoulder blades of the user to increase arm mobility.

A neck strap secures the harness system around the neck of a person playing a stringed instrument and holds the harness in place against the person's shoulder and/or chest. A support arm supports the weight of the instrument and a stabilizer prevents the support arm from rotating.

The drumstick gripping device includes a collar defining a collar opening for the insertion and engagement of a drumstick. The diameter of the collar opening is larger than the diameter of the drumstick tip and shoulder portions and smaller than the diameter of at least a portion of a drumstick grip portion. The collar can be engaged to a portion of the drumstick grip portion. A looped finger grip defines a finger grip opening for the insertion of a finger. The finger grip is connected to the collar wherein the finger grip opening is offset from and transverse to the collar opening. A drumstick system and a method of drumming are also disclosed.

The two arms (2, 2′) and the support (4) converge in a connecting element (3) and are connected to each other there. The arms (2, 2′) can be designed as one piece together with the support (4) and the connecting element (3) in order to form a unit, or the arms (2, 2′) can be connected to the connecting element (3) in an insertable or pivotable manner. A retaining element (5) for hanging the wind instrument (17) is provided on the connecting element (3).

A thumb-mountable support is disclosed for use on a support hand of a musician while playing an instrument of the violin-family. The thumb-mountable support includes a thumb ring and a saddle. The thumb ring is configured to at least partially surround the thumb of the support hand to facilitate securement of the thumb-mountable support to the thumb of the support hand. The saddle extends from the thumb ring and includes a lower surface configured to engage a generally V-shaped region formed between a thumb and body of the support hand, and also includes an upper surface configured to support a rear portion of a neck of the instrument.
