MOTOR NOISE MASKING
A sound synthesis system is provided with a loudspeaker to project sound indicative of synthesized motor sound in response to receiving a synthesized sound (SS) signal, and a processor. The processor is programmed to: estimate motor sound based on a sensor signal indicative of sound present within a passenger compartment; identify a dominant motor harmonic of the motor sound with an amplitude and a frequency; determine an enrichment value of the motor sound; determine if the motor sound is unenriched based on a comparison of the enrichment value to an enrichment threshold value; generate at least one additional motor harmonic with a first frequency that is different than the frequency of the dominant motor harmonic in response to the motor sound being unenriched; and provide the SS signal to the loudspeaker, wherein the SS signal is indicative of the at least one additional motor harmonic.
MUSIC SHAPER
A music composition, editing, and playback system and method provides a user interface design based on geometric interpretation of music theory replacing traditional modern music notation with geometric shapes including chords represented by polygons that are colored with colors or hues.
AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEM AND METHOD
Augmented reality is used to visualize musical notes or groups of musical notes for example using a display proximate a user's eyes, for example where images in the display appear to be in a space in front of or around the user, for example where the images in the display are for manipulation by an augmented reality controller, for example where the augmented reality controller is held by the user.
Method of creating musical compositions and other symbolic sequences by artificial intelligence
A method of creating AI-composed music having a style that reflects and/or augments the personal style of a user includes selecting and/or composing one or more seed compositions; applying variation and/or mash-up methods to the seed compositions to create training data; training an AI using the training data; and causing the AI to compose novel musical compositions. The variation methods can include methods described in the inventor's previous patents. A novel method of creating mash-ups is described herein. Variation and mash-up methods can further be applied to the A compositions. The AI compositions, and/or variations and/or mash-ups thereof, can be added to the training data for re-training of the AI. The disclosed mash-up method includes parsing the seed compositions into sequences of elements, which can be of equal length, beat-matching the seed compositions to make corresponding elements of equal beat length, and combining the elements to form a mash-up.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND MACHINE LEARNING SYSTEM
An information processing system (a) acquires user playing data indicative of playing of a piece of music by a user, (b) generates habit data indicative of a playing habit of the user in playing the piece of music on a musical instrument, by inputting the acquired user playing data into at least one first trained model that learns a relationship between (i) player playing training data indicative of playing of a piece of reference music by a player, and (ii) corresponding training habit data indicative of a playing habit of the player in playing the piece of reference music on a musical instrument, the playing habit being indicated by the player playing training data; and (c) identifies a practice phrase based on the generated habit data.
Music shaper
A music composition, editing, and playback system and method provides a user interface design based on geometric interpretation of music theory replacing traditional modern music notation with geometric shapes including chords represented by polygons that are colored with colors or hues.
Music Composition Aid
Disclosed herein are computer-implemented method, computer-readable storage medium, and DAW embodiments for implementing a music composition aid. An embodiment includes retrieving a first constraint value, receiving a selection of a set of musical elements, and accepting a second constraint value corresponding to the set of musical elements. Some embodiments further include invoking an iterator function, using at least the second constraint value as an argument, and generating an output of the iterator function, limiting a size of the output of the iterator function, according to the lesser of the first constraint value or a transform of the second constraint value. Output of the iterator function may include, of the set of musical elements, a subset determined by the second constraint value. The size of the output may be no more than the first constraint value. Further embodiments may render the output of the iterator function visually and/or audibly, for example.
Harmony generation device and storage medium
A harmony generation device and a program for the same which can generate a natural harmony sound are provided. The harmony generation device (1) generates first and second harmony tones to which a voice input through a microphone (M) is shifted in pitch by first and second shift amounts calculated based on both the voice input through the microphone (M) and a chord determined from performance information of an electric guitar (G) input through an input device (34). That is, since the first and second harmony tones can be tones based on the chord of the electric guitar (G) that changes from moment to moment, the harmony sound obtained by mixing the first and second harmony tones with the voice input through the microphone (M) can be a natural harmony sound that is rich in variation according to the chord of the electric guitar (G).
MUSICAL SOUND PROCESSING APPARATUS, MUSICAL SOUND PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A musical sound processing apparatus, a musical sound processing method, and a storage medium capable of generating musical sound full of interest are provided. The musical sound processing apparatus includes a first control unit configured to control a timing of sounding of a first tone in steps that come with an interval therebetween and a second control unit configured to control a timing of sounding of a second tone following or overlapping the first tone according to a first tempo, wherein the first control unit is configured to control the timing of sounding of the first tone according to the first tempo when timing information has not been acquired from outside and control the timing of sounding of the first tone according to a second tempo which is based on the timing information and different from the first tempo when the timing information has been acquired.
Electronic musical interface
An electronic musical interface performs the following: displaying a chord function progression of a first segment of a musical piece that is to be played by a user in a first region of a display via identifiers specifying respective chord functions; playing back an automatic accompaniment of the first segment; receiving user performance data as the user plays the musical note input device along with the playback of the automatic accompaniment; analyzing each chord contained in the obtained user performance data to determine the chord function of each chord the user played; and displaying, in a second region of the display alongside the first region, an identifier that identifies the determined chord function of the chord the user plays so that the user can determine whether the chord function of each chord the user played matches the chord function of the chord displayed in the first region.
