SMOKING ARTICLE
A smoking article comprises a smoke generating section, having a tube wall and a tube cavity; the tube cavity being configured to contain the aerosol-forming matrix; an infrared radiation layer, being formed on at least part of the inner surface of the tube wall; the infrared radiation layer being configured to be heated by the smoking set to generate infrared rays and at least heat the aerosol-forming matrix by radiation. The infrared radiation layer is arranged on the inner surface of the tube wall, so that the infrared radiation layer is heated by the smoking set to generate infrared rays and at least heat the aerosol-forming matrix by radiation. The infrared rays have relatively long wavelength, and they can penetrate substance and “resonate” with molecules and atoms inside the substance and produce strong vibration and rotation, so that the temperature of the substance rises to achieve the purpose of heating.

A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a non-combustible aerosol provision system comprising an aerosol modifying component, an aerosol generating material and a heater which, in use, is operable to heat the aerosol generating material such that the aerosol generating material provides an aerosol. The aerosol modifying component is downstream of the aerosol generating material and comprises first and second capsules. The first capsule is in a first portion of the aerosol modifying component, wherein the first portion of the aerosol modifying component is heated to a first temperature during operation of the heater to generate the aerosol. The second capsule is in a second portion of the aerosol modifying component located downstream of the first portion, wherein the second portion is heated to a second temperature during operation of the heater to generate aerosol, and wherein the second temperature is at least 4 degrees Celsius lower than the first temperature.

ELECTRONIC AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
A method of generating aerosol from aerosol generating material using an aerosol provision device is disclosed. The method comprises supplying power to a heating element to begin heating the aerosol generating material to an operational temperature (e.g. a temperature at which aerosol is generated). After a first predetermined time period, the method provides a signal to a user to signify that the user may begin inhaling on the device. After a second predetermined time period or after a user has stopped inhaling, the method reduces the supply of power to the heating element. In this way a user can be guided as to when to inhale on a device. The timing may be adjusted to suit a particular delivery and/or device. Also described are aerosol provision devices and systems.
