Aerosol generation method and apparatus
Provided is an aerosol generating system including a holder configured to generate aerosol by heating a cigarette; and a cradle including an inner space into which the holder is inserted. The holder is configured to be tiltable with respect the cradle. The holder is inserted into the inner space of the cradle and then tilted to generate the aerosol.
DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The disclosure relates to delivery systems including aerosol-generating material and a cooling agent WS-3 in an amount sufficient to provide a cooling effect. In particular, the disclosure relates to delivery systems that do not provide any clearly noticeable smell or taste other than one of tobacco.
DEGRADABLE CELLULOSE ESTER
Disclosed herein is a degradable cellulose ester. The cellulose ester may be formed into tow for use in cigarette filters or into articles, such as molded articles. A basic material, an enzymatic material, or combinations thereof is included in the cellulose ester in order to degrade the cellulose ester.
SMOKING ARTICLE TIPPING PAPER COATED WITH FUNCTIONAL MATERIAL AND METHOD OF COATING THE TIPPING PAPER
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a smoking article including a smoking material portion which is wrapped with a smoking material wrapper, a filter portion which has an upstream end combined with the smoking material portion and is wrapped with a filter wrapper, and a tipping paper which is wrapped around at least a partial region of the smoking material portion and the filter portion so that the smoking material portion and the filter portion are combined, wherein the tipping paper is coated with an overprint (OP) coating solution in which at least one functional material and an OP auxiliary agent which enhances the solubility of the at least one functional material are added to an OP ink.
AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE HAVING NOVEL CONFIGURATION
An aerosol-generating article for producing an inhalable aerosol upon heating is provided, the aerosol-generating article including: a rod of aerosol-generating substrate; and a downstream section arranged downstream of the rod of aerosol-generating substrate and in axial alignment with the rod of aerosol-generating substrate, the downstream section including one or more downstream elements, the aerosol-generating article being arranged such that a center of mass of the aerosol-generating article is at least 60 percent of the way along a length of the aerosol-generating article from a downstream end.
AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE HAVING A PLURALITY OF AIR INGRESS ZONES
An aerosol-generating article for producing an aerosol upon heating is provided, the aerosol-generating article including: a rod of aerosol-forming substrate; and a filter positioned downstream of the rod of aerosol-forming substrate, the filter including a hollow tubular segment, the rod of aerosol-forming substrate and the filter being assembled within a wrapper; and first and second air ingress zones located on the wrapper, the first and the second air ingress zones each being configured to allow ingress of air into an interior of the article, the first air ingress zone being located along the rod and the second air ingress zone being located along the hollow tubular segment. An aerosol-generating system including the aerosol-generating article and an aerosol-generating device is also provided.
AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE HAVING A PLURALITY OF AIR INGRESS ZONES
An aerosol-generating article for producing an aerosol upon heating is provided, the article including: a rod of aerosol-forming substrate; and a filter positioned downstream of the rod, in which the rod and the filter are assembled within a wrapper, the article further including first and second air ingress zones located on the wrapper, the first and the second air ingress zones each being configured to allow an ingress of air into an interior of the article, the first air ingress zone including a substantially porous portion of the wrapper, the substantially porous portion having a porosity of at least 3000 Coresta Units, and a level of air ingress into the interior of the article through the first zone is greater than a level of air ingress into the interior of article through the second zone. An aerosol-generating system including the aerosol-generating article and an aerosol-generating device is also provided.
AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM HAVING AN AIR INGRESS ZONE
An aerosol-generating system is provided, including: an aerosol-generating article including a rod of aerosol-forming substrate, a filter downstream of the rod, the rod and the filter being assembled within a wrapper, and an air ingress zone located on the wrapper and being configured to allow ingress of air into an interior of the article; and an aerosol-generating device having distal and mouth ends and including a housing defining a device cavity to removably receive the article at the mouth end, a heater to heat the substrate when the article is received within the cavity, and an air-flow channel extending between a channel inlet and outlet and establishing fluid communication between an interior of the cavity and an exterior of the device, in which there is fluid communication between the interior of the aerosol-generating article and the exterior of the aerosol-generating device when the article is received within the cavity.
SMOKABLE CONE INSERT INCLUDING FLAVOR RELEASING MECHANISMS
An insert for use with a smokable (e.g., such as a pre-rolled or empty cone) with one or more internal cavities for securing flavor releasing mechanism(s) (e.g., flavored “click balls”) is provided. The insert with internal cavities may be provided as a standalone item for use in pre-rolling and/or hand rolling a cone or cigarette. The insert may include a section of smokable material such as paper including a horizontal aperture and vertical fold lines towards one end. The fold lines may be folded back and forth to form an accordion shaped cavity into which the flavor releasing mechanisms may be inserted and held secure. The insert may then be rolled into a tubular shape and coupled with a smokable to serve as the smokable's mouthpiece.
COOLING ELEMENT
A cooling element comprising a longitudinally extending core including a plurality of longitudinally extending bores wherein each bore has a diameter ≥0.8 mm.
