The device of the apparatus is additionally configured with re-fillable inserts holding hygienic formulations to limit bacterial growth and flush plaque debris out of the gingivae pockets of the teeth. Some embodiments of the device of the apparatus are wholly digestible. The device of the apparatus is portable and comes in a plurality of embodiments in different shapes, all having the basic functionality of, self-treating periodontal disease.
Methods of Designing and Fabricating Customized Dental Care for Particular Users
The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for customizing dental care. In one aspect, a dental care device is customized for a particular user, including: (1) a support plate having: (a) a first portion configured to be inserted into a mouth; and (b) an attachment mechanism configured to attach the dental care device to a drive assembly; and (2) an elastomer (elastic polymer) portion enclosing the first portion of the plate, the elastomer portion including a plurality of cleaning tips and shaped in accordance with dental details of the particular user.
IMPROVEMENTS TO DISPOSABLE DEVICE FOR ORAL HYGIENE
The present invention includes improvements to a device with bristles that makes it possible to perform oral hygiene tasks to remove quickly impurities in the oral cavity, in particular when the user is travelling and does not carry a toothbrush and, due to time constraints, requires quick and effective cleaning. The cleaning device may also include luffa sponges, water-soluble films, spheres with toothpaste or channels that provide flexibility to a membrane which, when bending, generates a vacuum and is placed on the tongue in order to be used as a toothbrush handle. The device provides a better fitting and handling in the mouth of a user, since it avoids the generation of vacuum when actuated, and also has a membrane surrounded by a cylindrical section that allows its handling since it adapts to the tongue.
INTERDENTAL BRUSH HAVING AN INSERTION GUIDANCE TIP
A method of providing an insertion guidance tip at a distal end of an interdental brush, use of a first set of filaments and a second set of filaments in an interdental brush, and an interdental brush comprising a first set of filaments arranged along a first longitudinal sub-length and having a first filament diameter, and a second set of filaments arranged along a second longitudinal sub-length and having a second filament diameter, wherein the second filament diameter is smaller than the first filament diameter, wherein the second longitudinal sub-length is positioned at the distal end of the interdental brush, and wherein the second sub-length has a length along the longitudinal direction being less than 15% of a longitudinal extension of the brush portion and extending along less than three twists of a core member.
INTERDENTAL CLEANING TOOL
The interdental cleaning tool includes a base portion including a shaft portion that extends from a base end side to a top end side and gradually becomes thinner from the base end side to the top end side, a top end side cleaning portion including a top end side body covering a top end side portion of the shaft portion and top end side bristles protruding outward from an outer circumferential surface of the top end side body, and a base end side cleaning portion including a base end side body covering a portion of the shaft portion in the base end side than the top end side body and base end side bristles protruding outward from an outer circumferential surface of the base end side body. The top end side cleaning portion has a higher hardness than the base end side cleaning portion.
INTERDENTAL CLEANING TOOL
An interdental cleaning tool that is easily insertable in an interdental space by a user and has a high cleaning capability includes a base portion including a shaft portion having a shape insertable in an interdental space, and a cleaning portion that covers at least a portion of the shaft portion and is capable of cleaning an interdental space. The shaft portion has a triangular cross section on an orthogonal plane perpendicularly intersecting an axial direction of the shaft portion.
MANUAL TOOTHBRUSH
A manual toothbrush, having a front side and a back side, includes a disposable head comprising a head material and a reusable handle comprising a handle material that is different from the head material. The head is to be repeatedly attached to and detached from the handle by being moved relative to the handle in a direction substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis. The head includes a head material having a head-material density, and the handle includes a handle material having a handle-material density, wherein the handle-material density is greater than the head-material density. The toothbrush is structured and configured so that when the toothbrush is placed on its back side on a substantially planar surface, the toothbrush remains on its back side in a balanced position—and when the toothbrush is thereafter moved out of said balanced position, the toothbrush automatically returns to the balanced position.
TOOTHBRUSH WITH MULTIPLE BRUSHING SURFACES
A toothbrush head and a method for brushing teeth. The toothbrush head includes a first brushing portion, and a second brushing portion. A first orientation of the toothbrush head includes the first brushing portion contacting an inside of at least one upper tooth and the second brushing portion contacting an outside of at least one lower tooth. A second orientation of the toothbrush head includes the first brushing portion contacting an inside of at least one lower tooth and the second brushing portion contacting an outside of at least one upper tooth. The method includes steps as follows: a) contacting, with a toothbrush head, an inside of at least one upper tooth concurrently with an outside of at least one lower tooth; and b) contacting, with the toothbrush head, an inside of at least one lower tooth concurrently an outside of at least one upper tooth.
Methods of making personalized toothbrush devices
The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for creating customized dental care. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining a dental model of a particular user's teeth and determining, based on the dental model of the particular user's teeth, a configuration for a set of cleaning elements to be included with the toothbrush device. The method further includes forming the toothbrush device for the particular user based on the dental model of the particular user's teeth, whereby the toothbrush device includes: (i) a cleaner body, personalized for the particular user based on the dental model of the particular user's teeth, that defines a cleaning cavity shaped for receiving the particular user's teeth, and (ii) the set of cleaning elements, integrally formed with the cleaner body, that contact and clean the particular user's teeth during application of the toothbrush device, whereby the cleaning elements have the determined configuration.
INTERDENTAL CLEANING TOOL
The cleaning portion includes a cleaning portion body and a brush portion. The brush portion includes a first brush group and a second brush group. Bristles of the first brush group and the second brush group each have a shape whose a protruding length from the cleaning portion body gradually increases from a top end side to a base end side of the shaft portion. A protruding length from the cleaning portion body of a predetermined numbered one of the second brush group from the top end side to the base end side of the shaft portion is larger than a protruding length from the cleaning portion body of the predetermined numbered one of the bristles of the first brush group from the top end side to the base end side of the shaft portion.
