CONNECTING ELEMENT, A BASE UNIT AND A CLEANING HEAD FOR USE IN AN ORAL CARE APPLIANCE
A connecting element, a base unit and a cleaning head for use in an oral care appliance are disclosed. The connecting element is configured to engage operatively with the cleaning head and the base unit to form a first connection and a second connection respectively.
ORAL CARE MOUTHPIECE WITH BRUSHING ELEMENTS
This disclosure relates to oral care mouthpieces and methods of forming oral care mouthpieces. A disclosed oral care mouthpiece includes a base shaped to a dental arch. The base elastically deforms in response to pressure variations in the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece also includes a set of one or more supports attached to the base and placed to allow the base to elastically deform in response to the pressure variations in the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece also includes a set of oral care elements attached to the set of one or more supports and placed to transmit pressure to the dental arch when the base elastically deforms in response to the pressure variations in the mouthpiece.
DENTAL CLEANING APPARATUS
A dental cleaning apparatus (DCA) includes an elongated member having a brush portion and a handle portion. The DCA includes multiple brushes with different respective geometries situated equiangularly about the brush portion. The brushes may include convex, concave and flat geometries with each brush being designated for cleaning a different respective tooth surface type. For each of the convex, concave and flat bushes, the DCA includes a respective tactile feel region exhibiting the same geometry as the brush type to aid the user in orienting the DCA in the mouth for tooth cleaning purposes.
Tooth Brushing System
The present invention relates to a tooth brushing system that provides users with a novel and convenient way to clean their teeth. The system is primarily comprised of at least one brushing ball with a plurality of bristles and at least one battery, at least one toothbrush which is further comprised of at least one LED and a plurality of bristles, and at least one storage case. The brushing ball is further comprised of a LED light that may be changed to a plurality of lighting colors. The system further provides a toothbrush that allows a user to be able to see into the darker areas of their mouth to facilitate better cleaning.
Methods and systems for providing brushing session feedback
A method (300) for providing feedback to a user of an oral cleaning device (10). The method includes the steps of: (i) receiving (330), from a sensor (28) of the oral cleaning device, data about a plurality of orientations of the oral cleaning device within the user's mouth during a cleaning session; (ii) extracting (340), from the received data, information about one or more stable orientations of the oral cleaning device within the user's mouth during the cleaning session, where a stable orientation is an orientation of the oral cleaning device maintained by the user for a period of time above a threshold; (iii) fitting (350) the information about the one or more stable orientations of the oral cleaning device to one or more expected orientations; and (iv) providing (360) feedback to the user about the cleaning session based on an analysis of the fitted one or more stable orientations.
SIMULTANEOUS CLEANING OF MULTIPLE TEETH
A method and an apparatus are disclosed for simultaneously cleaning multiple teeth, such as one or both dental arches are disclosed. The Dental Cleaning Apparatus includes a cleaning engine enclosed in a main housing, a fluid tube, and a mouthpiece. The cleaning engine includes a fluid circuit having a number of pumps and solenoid valves, and a programmable controller to control the solenoid valves and other operations. The fluid tube includes a number of separate tubes for injection and evacuation of cleaning fluid from the interior of the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is generally made from a flexible and supple material, such as silicone, and may have bristles of various shapes. The cleaning engine alternates the mouthpiece between a relaxation state and a contraction state to effectively scrub the surface of all enclosed teeth simultaneously. It may automatically learn and adjust the vacuum pressure needed for each user to optimize cleaning.
COUPLING MECHANISMS FOR TEETH-CLEANING DEVICES
The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, systems, and associated coupling mechanisms for customized dental care. In one aspect, a dental device is customized for a particular user, including: (1) a mouthpiece assembly including: (a) a dental mouthpiece; and (b) a male connector; and (2) a drive assembly including: (a) an actuator; and (b) a female connector. The male and female connectors facilitates the correct alignment and orientation, and also efficiently transfer vibrations from the drive assembly to the mouthpiece assembly.
Molar lift oral insertion, disposable attach double level panorama form bristle brush tilter
A multi-purpose molar lift oral insertion and double level panorama form designed bristle brush tilter provides a thorough oral cleaning for dental and gums. Described is a small mechanism apparatus designed to assist with brushing teeth and other oral operations, and works especially well for persons that have difficulty with brushing their teeth. The device includes a molar gap tilt lift platform set between the upper molars and the lower molars to cause a gap or space between to upper and bottom jaw. The oral insertion can be enclosed in the mouth. A pivot axle attached to a double level bristle brush can swivels on a shaft pin allowing a user to oscillate or maneuver in left or right directions and up and down with just a touch of the fingertip.
Oral care implement substrates for oral care devices
This disclosure relates to oral care implements and device and their methods of manufacture. A disclosed oral care implement includes a substrate having a first mounting surface and a second surface which is different than the first mounting surface, and a plurality of oral care elements extending from the first mounting surface. The oral care elements each form at least one return path through the first mounting surface. The plurality of oral care elements are attached to the second surface.
Toothbrush
According to an exemplary embodiment, a toothbrush having one or two heads for use in a variety of humans and animals may be shown and described. The toothbrush can have offset heads and bristle areas, include multiple curves of (a) neck/head portion(s) to provide improved access and cleaning ability, and may be separable or combined with other toothbrush elements or components.
