Metrology system

Apparatuses, systems and methods associated with a metrology system for high-speed, non-contact coordinate measurements of parts are disclosed herein. In embodiments, the metrology system includes a metrology bridge to be coupled to a measurement assembly. The measurement assembly may include a stage moveable across multiple independent axes. The bridge may include a housing, mounting members coupled to the housing, and a plurality of sensors mounted within the housing. The mounting members may rotatably couple the housing to the measurement assembly. Further, sensor elements of the plurality of sensor devices may be aligned along a length of the housing and may be directed out of the housing.

A method for measuring a surface shape of a honeycomb core includes the following steps: coating a reflective film on the surface of the honeycomb core to be measured, using a vacuum adsorption method to adhere the reflective film closely to the surface of the honeycomb core to be measured, and recessing the reflective film at a honeycomb cell downwards; and performing scanning measurement on the reflective film on the surface of the honeycomb core to be measured to obtain the heights of a honeycomb wall of the honeycomb core at different spatial positions. A device carries out the measurement of the surface shape of a honeycomb core.

Various embodiments of the present technology generally relate to precise rotary motion control systems. More specifically, some embodiments relate to systems, methods, and means for providing pressure to a non-contact rotary system. In some embodiments, the rotary system comprises a rotary shaft that can rotate three hundred and sixty degrees continuously. In order for the rotary system to be entirely non-contact with any surfaces of surrounding components or housing, pressure must be supplied to a rotary air bearing that floats the rotary unit above a surface. In some examples, the bottom air bearing is a vacuum preloaded (VPL) air bearing. As such, the VPL air bearing requires a supply of positive pressure and a supply of negative pressure to stabilize the rotary unit. The present technology provides a mechanism for providing pneumatic air to the air bearing without a physical connection to the rotary shaft or air bearing.

Surface measuring device for measuring a surface of a workpiece has a device base body, and a measuring probe that by use of a feed apparatus is movable along a feed axis relative to a workpiece to be measured. The measuring probe has a probe base body and a probe element, connected to the probe base body, for scanning the workpiece in the direction of a measuring axis. The probe base body is connected to the measuring device base body via the feed apparatus. An oscillation damper is associated with the measuring probe, and is designed and configured for oscillation rate-dependent damping of oscillations of the probe base body of the measuring probe, and is active between the probe base body and the device base body.

The checking fixture for the steering knuckle can measure the position accuracy of each hole of the steering knuckle workpiece, and can detect whether the relative height of the flange plane of the workpiece relative to the X-direction locating points is qualified.
