Template-marking tool for installing conduit
11728631 · 2023-08-15 ·

The template-marking tool for installing conduit may comprise a template for locating the center of a new conduit aperture on a junction box. The template may be pressed against a wall of the junction box and may slide along the junction box until a first mark shows at one of a plurality of alignment slots. A second mark may be made on the junction box at one of a plurality of centering apertures. The new conduit aperture may be drilled at the second mark to create an aperture for accepting a conduit connector that an individual conduit will couple to. A plurality of indicia may be adapted to guide a user in selecting one of the plurality of centering apertures on the template based upon the size of a conduit support strut and the diameter of the individual conduit.

Detection and targeted remediation of mechanical device alignment errors

Misalignment of intersecting devices on a diagnostic instrument may be detected and remediated using a system comprising components such as an accelerometer, a plurality of strain gauges and a device comprising a processor and a memory (e.g., a computer). In such a system, the accelerometer may be adapted to detect movement of the diagnostic instrument. The device comprising the processor and the memory may be configured to, for each of the structural elements of the diagnostic instrument, determine whether an alignment change has taken place in that structural element based on analyzing measurements made by the plurality of strain gauges. The device comprising the processor and the memory may also be configured to, for each structural element where an alignment change is determined to have taken place, trigger a remediation for each device from a set of devices impacted by the alignment change of that structural element.

ALIGNMENT SYSTEM FOR A MOBILE IRRIGATION SYSTEM

A mobile irrigation alignment system comprising a base mounted on a first span, a linkage system, and a control system. The linkage system includes a driven arm, drive arm, and control arm. The driven arm is pivotably connected to the base about a vertical axis. The drive arm is pivotably connected to the driven arm about a horizontal axis and includes a distal end configured to rest on an adjacent span. The control arm is linked to the driven arm. The control system determines lateral alignment between the spans based on the control arm as governed by the drive arm and driven arm. The drive arm is configured to retain an upright orientation relative to the driven arm regardless of torsional rotation between the spans so that the position of the control arm and hence the lateral alignment determination is not affected by the torsional rotation between the spans.

Method for mounting and alignment device for aligning a guide rail of an elevator system

A method for mounting and aligning a guide rail in an elevator shaft of an elevator system, which elevator shaft primarily extends in a main extension direction, includes at least the following steps: securing a rail bracket base to a shaft wall of the elevator shaft; applying a mark to the rail bracket base; aligning the guide rail in relation to the mark; and securing the guide rail to the shaft wall using the rail bracket base. The alignment of the guide rail is carried out by an alignment device that includes an abutment part and a location device.
