SENSOR SYSTEM FOR DETECTING EXTENSION AND/OR TENSION IN SEAT BELT
A sensor system for determining extension or tension in a seat belt of a seat-belt system in which the belt extends from and can be wound up on a retractor. The system has an electrical conductor extending longitudinally along the belt, a retractor for paying out and winding up the belt and the conductor thereon, and n electrode juxtaposed with the retractor. A controller connected to the conductor applies an electrical voltage to the conductor and is also connected to the electrode for detecting the voltage in the conductor.
CONTAINER WITH INTEGRATED INDICATOR
A warning on an amount of welding wire remaining in a package can be implemented with an indicator system integrated within the package. The indicator system a visual indication on the amount of wire remaining. The visual indication is updated as the wire is dispensed during a welding operation. The indicator system includes one or more sensing elements that engage the welding wire at various locations. When the wire is dispensed, the sensing elements eventually lose engagement and output a corresponding signal. The visual indication is updated based on the signals from the sensing elements.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE ROPE REEVING OF A PULLEY BLOCK
The disclosure relates to a method for determining the number of rope reevings of a pulley block with a top block and a bottom block, wherein the rope path of at least one rope line of the pulley block, which is covered during a time window, is detected and compared with at least one rope path of a further rope line covered within the time window and/or with the height difference between top block and bottom block changed within the time window, in order to determine the number of rope reevings of the pulley block.

Modular material tracking system and method
A modular material tracking system is provided for tracking material stored on and drawn from a reel using a modular system. The modular material tracking system may include a detection element, digital logic components, location receiver, enclosure, analytic components, interface component, sensor module, and plate module. One or more sensors relative to the reel may detect a position indicative of forward or reverse reel rotation. A processor may analyze signals to count rotations of the reel, which is savable in memory. A battery may provide power. The system may also record the time and location associated with rotations. A method for tracking material stored on and drawn from a reel using a modular material tracking system is also provided.
INDEXER, INDEXER RETROFIT KIT AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A system and method for cleaning of heat exchanger tubes including an assembly, an indexer, and a communication device provided with specialized software and programming. The indexer includes orthogonally arranged first and second arms. A trolley and sensors are provided on the indexer arms. One or more lances are provided on the trolley to deliver water jets into the openings. Sensors measure displacement as the trolley is moved relative to the heat exchanger's face plate. An operator controls the system from a distance away using the communication device. During setup, the pattern of the face plate is learned and mapped utilizing information from the sensors as one of the inputs. This information is utilized to help navigate the face plate during a subsequent cleaning operation. A kit for retrofitting existing X-Y indexers is also disclosed.

The method may comprise, determining an acceleration of the line, measuring an acceleration of the tool along the elongated space, and controlling damping of the movement of the tool along the elongated space according to the measured acceleration of the tool and the determined acceleration of the line. The elongated space may be located downhole or may be defined in, or adjacent to, an oil or gas well.
