Light emitting oral care implement

An oral care product array includes a handle component and multiple refill components therefor. The handle component includes a power source. A first refill component includes a first light generating module which emits light in a first spectrum from the first refill component. A second refill component includes a second light generating module which emits light in a second spectrum from the second refill component. Each refill component has a coupled state, when coupled to the handle component, and a decoupled state, when decoupled from the handle component. When the first refill component is in the coupled state, the first light generating module is powered by the power source to emit light in the first spectrum. When the second refill component is in the coupled state, the second light generating module is powered by the power source to emit light in the second spectrum.

System and Method for Detecting Blood in an Oral Cavity During Toothbrushing
20240016393 · 2024-01-18 · ·

In one aspect, a system for detecting blood in an oral cavity during toothbrushing is disclosed. A toothbrush includes a sensor configured to emit first light at a first wavelength and second light at a second wavelength, and receive reflected portions of the light, the reflected portions having a first intensity and a second intensity, respectively. For each of a plurality of different times of a brushing session, a processor calculates a ratio of the first intensity to the second intensity. The processor identifies peaks in the ratio over the different times and, based on the number of peaks in the ratio, determines whether hemoglobin is present in the oral cavity.

PET CARE DEVICE

A pet care device may include a head having a sterilizer and a handle extending from the head. The head may be formed of an outer body and an inner body positioned in an inner region of the outer body. A first space may be formed between the outer body and the inner body in which the sterilizer is provided. The sterilizer may include at least one light emitting device, and a light device may cover the first space. A second space partitioned from the first space may be at least partially located inside the inner body. Hair and/or debris may be collected in the second space.

PET CARE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PET CARE DEVICE

A pet care device may include a removable or swappable care tool mounted on a head. The head may include a sterilizer and a sensor to determine what kind of care tool is mounted. A controller may identify the type of care tool mounted on the head based on a sensing value of the sensor and control the sterilizer based on the identified care tool.
