Weight Measurement Device

A weight measurement device comprises: an upper surface cover on which a measurement target is placed; a load cell to detect weight of the measurement target placed on the upper surface cover; a bridge to support the load cell; a receiving member to receive the weight of the measurement target placed on the upper surface cover; and a bottom surface cover provided on a lower surface side of the receiving member, and further comprises a sliding part provided between the lower surface of the receiving member and an upper surface of the bottom surface cover to enable the receiving member to move in a horizontal direction relative to the bottom cover. The bridge comprises a pivot which is a fulcrum to make it possible to change inclination of the bridge relative to the bottom surface cover and is in contact with an upper surface of the receiving member.

In one embodiment, a scale assembly for providing nutritional content, the scale assembly in connection with a client device, the scale assembly comprising: a platform for receiving a food item; a pole connected to a center portion of the platform, wherein the pole applies a pressure to a surface of the client device based on a weight of the food item; a centerpiece having a hole for receiving the pole such that the pole moves vertically through the hole; at least one support leg, wherein the at least one support leg is connected to the centerpiece and provides support to the scale assembly; and wherein the pressure applied by the pole to the surface of the client device is used to calculate the nutritional content of the food item.

A bushing for a load cell that reduces assembly height and measurement error and enables tool-less insertion and removal to a mount hole of a load cell and to connect with a load bearing surface of a weight system is described herein. The bushing may include a first end having a tapered surface for inserting into a mounting hole of a load plate. The bushing also includes a second end and a middle portion. The middle portion has a diameter less than the first end and the second end. The bushing defines an internal passageway with fins arranged along the inside thereof. The fins are disposed at an angle with respect to a radius of the internal passageway. The fins may interface with a pin to couple to a load bearing plate of a weight sensor system.
