The device includes an external covering adapted to be in contact with an arm and a surface; an internal cavity inside the external covering; a sealing layer between the external covering and the internal cavity; the sealing layer being adapted to prevent leaking of the cushioning material from the device; and a through-hole.

According to various embodiments, a wrist rest is provided. The wrist rest comprises a base structure, a plurality of light sources housed in the base structure and capable of emitting light, a light guide disposed over the plurality of light sources and configured to receive the light emitted from the plurality of light sources and release the light, and a cushion secured to the base structure and disposed over the light guide in a manner so as to conceal the plurality of light sources and the light guide between the base structure and the cushion. The cushion is configured to diffuse the light released from the light guide. Each light source is capable of selectively producing a plurality of lighting colours.
