SPECTROMETER DEVICE AND SYSTEM
Described herein are a spectrometer system and a spectrometer device, which are suited for investigation or monitoring purposes, in particular, in the infrared (IR) spectral region, and for a detection of heat, flames, fire, or smoke.
The spectrometer device allows capturing incident light from an object and transferring the incident light to a length variable filter with a particularly high concentration efficiency. Apart from the spectrometer device, the spectrometer system further includes an evaluation unit designated for determining information related to a spectrum of an object by evaluating the detector signals provided by the spectrometer device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IN SITU OPTIMIZATION OF TUNABLE LIGHT EMITTING DIODE SOURCES
Systems for and methods for in situ optimization of tunable light emitting diode sources are disclosed herein. During operation, the systems and methods obtain real-time feedback from an image sensor, and that feedback is used to tune the tunable LEDs. By tuning the tunable LEDs, the best values for the LED spectral output can be selected based on the feedback from the image sensor, and an image with improved contrast is obtained. Alternatively, the amount of time to obtain an image with acceptable contrast is reduced.
SNAPSHOT MULTISPECTRAL IMAGER FOR MEDICAL APPLICATIONS
The present invention is a camera with video-rate acquisition and processing for medical imaging applications. In particular, the invention is used to determine the health of a body area by quantitatively measuring blood oxygen levels and melanin content from a real-time video image of a body segment. In certain embodiments, a camera comprises an objective lens; a filter tray located at an aperture stop of the objective lens, wherein the filter tray comprises a plurality of elements, each element passes a spectral band of light; a micro-lens array located at an exit pupil of the objective lens comprising a plurality of micro lenses to form an image plane, wherein the objective lens produces a focused image at the image plane; and a focal plane array comprising a plurality of sensors, wherein each sensor receives light from at least one micro-lens of the micro-lens array.

Provided is an imaging apparatus including: a splitter that splits incident light into pieces of light of two or more wavelength bands; and two or more detectors that detect the pieces of light of two or more wavelength bands respectively and output signals from which wavelengths can be extracted tunably by post-processing.
Hybrid spectral imager
The invention discloses a hybrid and scanning/snapshot spectral imager operating in both staring-spectral scanning and video snapshot spectral imaging modes. Snapshot spectral imaging operation at a set of selectable critical spectral bands comprise the basis for a machine learning-based estimation and video-rate display of a full hyperspectral cube, without compromising spatial resolution. Operating in the staring-type scanning mode, the disclosed hybrid spectral imager acquires sets of narrow band images at a given tuning step and for a plurality of tuning steps until completing a hyperspectral cube sampling. Scanning operation may be used for optimally configuring snapshot operation, such that redundant information present in the collected spectra is discarded. The disclosed hybrid spectral imager includes embodiments susceptible for miniaturization and low power operation, allowing for their integration into mobile phone and computer platforms. The invention is intended to address applications comprising, at least in part, nondestructive testing, real-time spectral and chemical mapping, noninvasive diagnosis and spectral photography.
Infrared Spectrometer Having Dielectric-Polymer-Based Spectral Filter
An infrared spectrometer for operation in the mid-infrared spectral range is disclosed, where the spectrometer includes a Bragg-mirror-based spectral filter that is operative for providing an output optical signal whose spectral content is spatially dispersed along a first direction, where the Bragg mirrors include low-refractive-index layers comprising a polymer material that is transmissive across the mid-infrared spectral range and is characterized by less than ten absorption peaks with the operating spectral range of the spectrometer.

LIGHT MODULATION DEVICE AND SINGLE-CHANNEL SPECTRUM DETECTION SYSTEM
A light modulation device and a single-channel spectrum detection system are provided. The light modulation device includes: a light guide plate; a dispersing component configured to disperse received light into light of different wavelengths and to diffract the light of different wavelengths into the light guide plate at different angles; and a dynamic filtering component configured to prevent light of a selected wavelength in the light guide plate from entering the dynamic filtering component such that the light of the selected wavelength emits out from the light guide plate, and to make light of non-selected wavelengths in the light guide plate enter the dynamic filtering component such that the light of the non-selected wavelengths is filtered out from the light guide plate.

An analyzer includes an acquirer configured to acquire color information on visible light and at least one of ultraviolet light and infrared light from image data, a memory configured to store reference data on the color information, and a determiner configured to determine characteristic data of an object in the image data based on the color information, the reference data, and an image capturing condition information. The image capturing condition information contains information on a spectral characteristic of illumination light in image capturing, and a spectral sensitivity curve of an image sensor and information on a spectral transmittance of an image capturing optical system.
