Shelving unit with capacity increasing tie members

A tie bar for connecting two horizontal beams includes first and second elongate walls arranged parallel to each other, and a third elongate wall arranged perpendicular to the first and second elongate walls and coupled to a lateral side of each of the first and second elongate walls. The tie bar further includes at least one pair of hook elements positioned at terminal ends of at least one of the first, second, or third elongate walls. Each of the hook elements includes a depending tab configured to be received by an elongate slot of a horizontal beam of a shelving unit. The first and second elongate walls may be top and bottom walls, respectively, the third elongate wall may be a side wall, and the at least one pair of hook elements may include first and second hook elements positioned on the second elongate wall.

A load carrier for a rack for disposition at one or more rack uprights and for receiving loads with a load bearing contact surface for the purpose of storing loads and an upright contact surface section for disposition of the load carrier at the upright or uprights, wherein the load bearing surface section extends along the length and width of the load carrier and the upright contact surface section runs along the length and height of the load carrier, wherein the load bearing surface section and the upright contact surface section are disposed transversely to each other to form a support bracket, wherein for the purpose of reinforcing the load carrier, the load bearing surface section and/or the upright contact surface section are part of a hollow profile and/or have one or more corrugations. SHELVING UNIT WITH LOAD CAPACITY INCREASING TIE CLIPS

A shelving unit includes front and rear shelf supporting beams, each beam including an upper shelf supporting flange that defines a shelf seat and a lower flange spaced from the upper flange, a shelf configured to be positioned in the seat defined by the front and rear shelf support beams, and at least one tie clip configured to be connected to the shelving unit between the shelf and the lower flange of at least one of the front and rear shelf supporting beams. A method of assembling a shelving unit is also disclosed.

My second mount rack frame in one embodiment comprises at least two laterally aligned modular rigid support structures along a rack base with mechanical fasteners that reversibly insert to adjust a dimension of a rigid modular support structure. Rigid modular support structures also align with and mechanically attach vertically to each other to increase storage space. Another embodiment of my second mount rack frame comprises a single rigid modular support structure that also vertically aligns and attaches to another multi-component support structures without lateral alignment of these structures along a rack base. A third mount rack frame comprises two rigid vertical components, two rigid horizontal components and two rack base legs.

Retainers may secure the segmented assembly to the base and top. This allows a user to mount the segmented assembly in a first work location, and then convert the segmented assembly to a tool case for transport to a second work location.
