A first stopper is arranged inside each of the openings and includes a first outer circumferential surface including a first outer diameter less than a diameter of the opening. Sealing members are configured to cover at least the openings and a movable part between the main body and the movable body.

The processing module also receives second data regarding the second set of pressure sensors and generates a second digital representation of the second data. The processing module also writes the first and second digital representations to the memory.

A strain element (10), which is configured such that a frame portion (11) and a central portion (12) are connected by arm portions (20) to (22), is masked except for the arm portions (20) to (22) where a strain gauge (A1) and the like are to be disposed, and then peening is carried out. With this, a compressive residual stress layer is formed on four sides of each of the arm portions (20) to (22). When the strain element (10) receives a load resulting from an external force, the arm portions (20) to (22) elastically deform; however, due to the compressive residual stress layer thus formed, the arm portions (20) to (22) are less prone to fatigue failure. When projection of a shot material is carried out as peening, the surface roughness of the arm portions (20) to (22) increases, the adhesion of strain gauges improves, detection accuracy improves, and stable measurement can be ensured.

The invention relates to a method of fabricating a conductive fabric by vapor phase polymerization, a multi-pressure sensor for a fiber type, and a multi-pressure measuring method employing the multi-pressure sensor. The method of fabricating a conductive fabric by vapor phase polymerization provides a conductive fabric having a resistance value which changes depending on pressure applied by a user. The multi-pressure measuring method employing the multi-pressure sensor has high resistance to moisture and repeated loading, is manufactured with lower costs than existing pressure sensors, is capable of measuring both dynamic and static pressures using a principle of a piezo-resistive sensor, has a simple circuit configuration, and is strong against a high-frequency disturbance.

Force sensor assembly

A force sensor, flexible sensing element, and method for the force sensor are disclosed. The force sensor uses a flexible sense element with two flexible arms dedicated to measuring strain related to a pitch force and two flexible arms dedicated to measuring strain related to roll force. The use of two channels for each measurement provides a command lane and a monitor lane for strain measurements. Strain gauges are disposed on both the top and the bottom surfaces of each arm, thus providing two completely redundant systems. When a failure is detected in one of the systems, the redundant system can be implemented.
