P-y curve-based element test device and test method
A p-y curve-based element test device is provided. An upper support plate is located above a lower support plate and is fixedly connected to the lower support plate through truss supports symmetrically arranged on left and right sides, and at least one truss support is arranged on each side. A sample container, a servo consolidation mechanism and multidirectional servo actuators are connected to the truss support on the two sides. The servo consolidation mechanism is located above the sample container, and the multidirectional servo actuators are arranged above the servo consolidation mechanism and below the sample container, respectively. Identical loads are synchronously applied from above and below to realize horizontal movement of a pile element to simulate the load condition of a soil body, and a pressure is applied by a servo consolidation device to simulate the stress condition of the soil body at a certain depth.

Apparatus for testing the strength of sheets made of hard brittle material under tensile stress
A method for testing the strength of a sheet-like element having two opposite faces and made of hard brittle material under tensile stress is provided. The method includes passing each of the faces of the element over a roller and thereby bending the element so that each of the faces is subjected to a first tensile stress in a portion in which the opposite face is in contact with a surface of the roller; exerting a second tensile force on the element in the direction of advancement so that both faces are subjected to the second tensile stress of at least 2 MPa so that the first and second tensile stresses add up to define a resultant tensile stress; and monitoring the element and determining whether the element has a defined breaking strength equal to the resultant tensile stress or whether the element breaks under the resultant tensile stress.

HIGH THROUGHPUT TRIBOMETER
The present invention relates, in part, to systems for characterizing force (e.g., friction, and wear). In one embodiment, a tribometer allows for wear testing of samples in a high throughput manner.
HIGH-THROUGHPUT QUANTITATIVE MEASUREMENT OF BULK MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF SOFT MATERIALS
Provided herein are systems and methods for carrying out high-throughput quantitative measurements of bulk mechanical properties of soft materials. The systems include a centrifuge, solid particles, and sample wells. In the systems and methods, samples comprising solid particles embedded in soft materials contained within sample wells are centrifuged in a series of increasing centrifugal speed increments, and a bulk mechanical property, such as fracture stress or elastic modulus, of each soft material is determined by monitoring the centrifugal force needed for the solid particles to fracture the soft material in each of the samples.
