The objective of the present invention is to provide a particle detection device and a particle detection method that can individually and continuously detect a wide range of particles. The objective is achieved by a particle detection device including: a particle separation channel through which particles are separated according to particle sizes in a perpendicular direction to the flow of fluid; and two or more particle recovery channels that are connected to and branched from the particle separation channel, in which each of the particle recovery channels includes a particle detection unit that includes an aperture and an electric detector.

A method for processing a substrate that includes: applying, at an ionizer, a drive pulse train to an ion source to ionize a gas cluster beam and transfer the drive pulse train to the gas cluster beam; measuring, at a detector exposed to the gas cluster beam, a beam current synchronously with the drive pulse train; obtaining time-of-flight information of the clusters and the monomers in the gas cluster beam based on the beam current and the drive pulse train; determining size information relating to a size distribution of clusters and monomers in the gas cluster ion beam based on the time-of-flight information; adjusting a process parameter of the gas cluster beam based on the size information; and exposing the substrate to the gas cluster beam with the adjusted process parameter.
Particle detection device and a method for detecting airborne particles
The invention relates to a particle detection device and a method for detecting particles in a fluid by means of separation. A channel structure is arranged for separating an incoming flow into a major flow comprising a minor portion of particles above the first predetermined size and a minor flow comprising a major portion of particles above the predetermined size. One or more detectors are arranged for detecting particles in the major flow and minor flow. The channel structure further comprises a choked flow restriction arranged for enabling a constant flow independent of pressure conditions.
MICRO-NANO PARTICLE DETECTION DEVICE AND METHOD
A micro-nano particle detection device and method are disclosed. The device includes a sample chamber and at least two measurement chambers, where at least one through hole is formed between each measurement chamber and the sample chamber, each measurement chamber is communicated with the sample chamber only through the through hole, a common electrode is arranged in the sample chamber, a measurement electrode is arranged in each measurement chamber respectively, a first end of the sample chamber is provided with a first liquid driving device, and the common electrode is grounded.

A particle separating device includes at least three liquid chambers adapted to store a liquid therein; at least two liquid passages, each connecting adjacent two of the liquid chambers; an inlet adapted to introduce a liquid in which multiple particles of different sizes are dispersed into one of the liquid chambers; and at least two electrodes disposed inside at least two of the liquid chambers, respectively, the electrodes adapted to apply different electrical potentials to the liquid. The cross-sectional areas of the at least two liquid passages are different from each other.

A particle analysis device includes a liquid space adapted to store a liquid; a chip disposed above the liquid space, the chip having a connection pore extending vertically and communicating with the liquid space; an upper hole disposed above the chip, the upper hole extending vertically and communicating with the connection pore; a first electrode adapted to apply an electric potential to a liquid in the upper hole; and a second electrode adapted to apply an electric potential to the liquid in the liquid space. The upper hole having a diameter that is equal to or greater than the maximum width of the connection pore, and the entirety of the connection pore falling within the range of the upper hole.

The invention provides a device and method for the real-time detection of aeropathogens. The device includes an aerosampler having an air inlet and at least one collector tube, a microfluidic system which includes a container, piping, a micro pump for flowing a liquid and a viral detection chamber. The viral detection chamber has an electrode which may be equipped with functionalized bio sensors, a counter electrode, an electronic detection system connectable to the electrodes of the viral detection chamber, and an embedded electronic processing system for processing data from the electronic detection system.

An apparatus for measuring aerosol particles includes a charging unit to form charged particles by charging particles of an aerosol sample flow by diffusion charging, and a collecting unit to provide an electric current by collecting charges from the charged particles by diffusion of the charged particles, the electric current being indicative of number density of aerosol particles of the aerosol sample flow.
The internal pressure of the collecting unit is maintained at a reduced value in order to provide a flat response of the electric current for detecting nanoparticles of different sizes.
