SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INSPECTING PARTICULATE FILTERS

A particulate filter inspection system for a particulate filter includes a compressed air source, a primary conduit, a controller, a probe, and a gauge. The compressed air source is configured to draw air from an air source. The primary conduit is configured to receive the air from the compressed air source. The probe is coupled to the primary conduit and communicable with the controller. The probe is configured to interface with a face of the particulate filter to provide the air to only a sector of the particulate filter. The gauge is configured to determine a pressure of the air within the primary conduit when the probe is providing air to only a sector of the face of the particulate filter. The controller is configured to receive the pressure from the gauge, compare the pressure to a target upper pressure, and provide an indication that the particulate filter is dirty if the pressure is not lower than the target upper pressure.

AIR BUBBLE SENSING SYSTEMS AND RELATED SIGNAL PROCESSING

Embodiments herein relate to systems for detecting air bubbles in fluids. In an embodiment, a fluid system aeration detector is included having an optical air bubble sensor. The optical air bubble sensor can include a light source, a light detector, and a sensor controller. The sensor controller can be in signal communication with the light detector and can be configured to detect air bubbles based on the signals received from the light detector. The sensor controller can further be configured to estimate an amount of aeration of a fluid based on the detected air bubbles. Other embodiments are also included herein.

METHOD OF AUTOMATICALLY FOLLOWING HUMAN FOR PURIFYING AIR NEARBY

A method of automatically following human for purifying air nearby is applied to a self-propelled air-purifying apparatus (1). The self-propelled air-purifying apparatus (1) moves by itself and purifies the ambient air by operating air-purifying module during moving. When detecting a human, the self-propelled air-purifying apparatus automatically follows the human and purifies the ambient air around the human by operating the air-purifying module during the following. The present disclosed example can effectively improve the air quality around the human.

Filter testing apparatus and method

A method and apparatus for filter testing for use within an air handling system. The air handling system may include one or more scan assemblies. The scan assembly may include a track system using one or more magnetic arrays.

System and methods for evaluating an air purification system

A method for evaluating an air purification system. The method includes generating, with an air flow generator, a flow of air through a test filter so that an upstream air flow exists an upstream side of the test filter and a downstream air flow exists on a downstream side of the test filter. A multiple contaminant mixture is injected, with a fluid injector, into the upstream air flow. Downstream concentrations for each contaminant of the multiple contaminant mixture in the downstream air flow are measured with a contaminant measurement device. Test filter breakthrough curves for each contaminant of the multiple contaminant mixture in the downstream air flow are generated based on the downstream concentrations for each contaminant of the multiple contaminant mixture.

A control system for controlling a shut-off valve of an aircraft. The shut-off valve is configured to open a bypass circuit that is initially closed. This circuit makes it possible to feed air to an aircraft engine without going via an air filter associated with an air intake. The control system comprises: a manual control member for controlling the shut-off valve, this member being actuatable manually so as to cause the bypass circuit to open; and a computer configured to compute a current value of a level of clogging TC of an air filter. The control system further comprises a comparator for comparing the current value of the level of clogging TC with a first threshold value TC1 and with a second threshold value TC2, and an alerter for generating a first sensory signal and a second sensory signal.

AIR FILTER CONDITION SENSING

An air filter includes filter media, a sensor, and circuitry coupled to the sensor, the circuitry configured to receive data from the sensor representative of the condition of the filter media and wirelessly transmit such data. The data may be received by a device with a display to use the information to present an indication of the filter media condition to a user.

IN SITU EVALUATION OF FILTER PARAMETERS WITH OPTICOANALYTICAL DEVICES

A system can include a filter assembly with a filter and a substance in the filter assembly, and at least one optical computing device having an integrated computational element which receives electromagnetic radiation from the substance. A method can include receiving electromagnetic radiation from a substance in a filter assembly, the electromagnetic radiation from the substance being received by at least one optical computing device having an integrated computational element, and the receiving being performed while a filter is positioned in the filter assembly. A detector may receive electromagnetic radiation from the integrated computational element and produce an output correlated to a characteristic of the substance. A mitigation technique may be selected, based on the detector output.

A fluid circulation monitoring system includes a distributed processing system having a first processor located on-premises near a space filled with a circulating fluid and a second processor located off-premises. The first processor and the second processor are in communication with one another. A sensor is operatively connected to the first processor and senses at least one parameter associated with a flow rate of fluid through the circulation system. The distributed processing system is configured to process the at least one parameter and derive a volumetric fluid flow rate through a fluid pump which propels the fluid through the circulation system. Pattern recognition is applied to the at least one parameter to detect maintenance events and predict the need for maintenance events.
