ELECTRON MICROSCOPE ANALYSIS SYSTEM
20230223232 · 2023-07-13 ·

An electron microscope analysis system includes a detector that captures an electron microscope image formed on a detection plane by an electron beam that irradiates a specimen to be observed and transmits through the specimen. Electrons each having a de Broglie wave motion are integrated to be a linear rotor that is a collection of the electrons each having the de Broglie wave motion, so that each electron can be recognized, the principle of conservation of electric charge can be satisfied, and interaction with the specimen can be calculated. The electron is represented as a detection point on the detection plane, for comparison with actual measurement data when the number of electrons is small, to reduce damage of the specimen by the electron beam, and to obtain information of the specimen when an amount of irradiation is small.

A system for performing computer-assisted image analysis of welds and related methods is disclosed. Digital images are captured at a worksite and sent to a remote image analysis system of a weld analytics system that analyzes images to determine whether the images conform to weld specifications. The remote image analysis system may be trained by artificial intelligence or machine learning.

Image acquisition system and image acquisition method

An image acquisition system includes a radiation source configured to output radiation toward an object, a rotating stage configured to rotate the object around a rotation axis, a radiation camera having an input surface to which the radiation transmitted through the object is input and an image sensor capable of TDI control, and an image processing apparatus configured to generate a radiographic image of the object at an imaging plane P based on the image data. The angle formed between the rotation axis of the rotating stage and the input surface of the radiation camera is set in accordance with the FOD which is the distance between the radiation source and an imaging plane in the object. The radiation camera is configured to perform TDI control in the image sensor in synchronization with the rotational speed of the object rotated by the rotating stage.

CUSTOMIZABLE AXES OF ROTATION FOR INDUSTRIAL RADIOGRAPHY SYSTEMS
20230010730 · 2023-01-12 ·

Described herein are examples of industrial radiography systems that enable rotation of a part about a custom axis that is offset from an actual rotation axis of a rotatable fixture that retains the part. This may be valuable in situations where it is difficult, impractical, and/or impossible to align the center of the part with the center of the rotatable fixture. In some examples, the custom axis rotation may be implemented on existing radiography machines, without requiring physical alteration of the radiography machines, integration of new components into the radiography machines, and/or risk of instability to the part and/or radiography machines.

Systems and methods for generating an inspection image of an object from radiographic imaging

There are described herein methods and system for generating an inspection image of an object from radiographic imaging. The method comprises obtaining a plurality of digital images of the object positioned between a radiation source and a photon beam detector, the digital images taken at different object-detector distances or source-detector distances to create unique grain diffraction patterns in each one of the digital images, and forming the inspection image from image features common to the digital images at a common scale and removing the unique grain diffraction patterns.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INSPECTING PIPELINES USING A ROBOTIC IMAGING SYSTEM
20230214979 · 2023-07-06 ·

Systems and methods for generating and processing images captured while inspecting above-ground pipelines are disclosed. Embodiments may include a robotic crawler or other devices which carry imaging equipment and traverse a target pipe which are configured to capture image data simultaneously from a plurality of angles. Such systems may substantially reduce and in some cases overcome the need to take multiple traversals of a pipeline under inspection. Embodiments may also be directed toward control systems for such devices as well as image processing systems which process the multiple image sets to produce a composite imaging result.
