Inspection robot and methods thereof for responding to inspection data in real time
An inspection robot, and methods and a controller thereof are disclosed. An inspection robot may include an inspection chassis including a plurality of inspection sensors and coupled to at least one drive module to drive the robot over an inspection surface. The inspection robot may also include a controller including an inspection data circuit to interpret inspection base data, an inspection processing circuit to determine refined inspection data, and an inspection configuration circuit to determine an inspection response value in response to the refined inspection data. The controller may further include an inspection response circuit to, in response to the inspection response value, provide an inspection command value while the inspection robot is interrogating the inspection surface.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR HEALTH MONITORING OF AN ENERGY STORAGE DEVICE
A system for assessment of a battery cell comprises a testing platform, a conveying system, one or more ultrasound sources, and one or more ultrasound sources, and a control unit. The conveying system can move the battery cell to the testing platform for assessment and from the testing platform after the assessment. The control unit can control the one or more ultrasound sources and the one or more ultrasound sensors to perform the assessment. The assessment can comprise determining a state of the battery cell based on the one or more signals generated by the one or more ultrasound sensors. The control unit can control the conveying system to direct the battery cell from the testing platform responsive to the assessment.
Ultrasound Coupling Shoe
A coupling shoe for attachment to a transducer module to couple ultrasound transmitted by the transducer module into a target object, the coupling shoe comprising a transducer engaging portion; a couplant chamber arranged to hold couplant; and a flexible membrane at least partially defining a probe surface for facing the target object through which couplant from the couplant chamber can seep for coupling ultrasound transmitted by the transducer module into the target object.
A Sensing Device, System And Method For A Pump
A sensing device for a centrifugal slurry pump having an impeller which rotates about an axis, the centrifugal slurry pump including a side liner and a main liner housed within an outer casing of the pump, the sensing device comprising; a body portion arranged to pass through the outer casing, wherein the body portion includes a sensor biased towards contact with either the side liner or the main liner of the pump.
Flooded member detection by means of ultrasound
A sensor system for detecting water or air in a hollow member comprises a first acoustic sensor assembly in a first housing on one side of the hollow member, a second acoustic sensor assembly in a second housing on the opposite side, a controller unit connected to the first and/or second sensor assemblies, and where the first and second sensor assemblies and the controller unit are provided with power supply. Each of the first and second sensor assemblies comprises a set of probes connected to electronics for transmitting and receiving signals, and where the housings comprise fastening means for connecting the housings and the probes to the hollow member. The controller unit comprises a microcontroller, software for controlling and coordinating transmission and reception of signals between said probes, and means for registering and logging data generated by the sensor assemblies. A method detects water or air in a hollow member.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR HEALTH MONITORING OF AN ENERGY STORAGE DEVICE
A vehicle can comprise a battery cell, a monitoring device, and a controller. The monitoring device can comprise an ultrasound source and an ultrasound sensor. The ultrasound source can direct ultrasound at the battery cell, and the ultrasound sensor can detect ultrasound transmitted through or reflected from at least a portion of an interior of the battery cell. The ultrasound sensor can generate one or more signals responsive to the detected ultrasound. The controller can process the one or more signals from the ultrasound sensor and can output an indication of an internal state of the first battery cell.
System for monitoring an acoustic scene outside a vehicle
A system for monitoring an acoustic scene outside a vehicle; the system including: a vehicle with wheels and a trunk, an acoustic sensor disposed in the trunk, a control unit operatively connected to the acoustic sensor, and at least one neural network operatively connected to the control unit, and trained in such a way to correlate the characteristics of an audio signal with types of road surfaces; the control unit is configured in such a way to receive an audio signal detected by the acoustic sensor while the vehicle is traveling, extract the characteristics of the audio signal and input said characteristics of the audio signal to the neural network in order to identify the type of road surface covered by the vehicle wheels.
Noninvasive acoustical property measurement of fluids
Methods for noninvasive determination of acoustical properties of flowing in pipes having a large ratio (>10) of pipe diameter to wall thickness, and in highly attenuating fluids are described. When vibrations are excited on the outer surface of the wall of a pipe, the resulting vibrations propagate directly through the wall in a normal direction and through the pipe wall as guided waves, appearing on the opposite side of the pipe. This dual path propagation through pipes, where guided waves take the circumferential path in the wall of the pipe and may interfere with the time of-flight measurement obtained from the direct path through the fluid, is at least in part resolved by subtracting the signal from the guided wave from the combined signal, thereby permitting improved observation of the direct path propagation through the fluid.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CORROSION AND EROSION MONITORING OF FIXED EQUIPMENT
This disclosure relates to the monitoring and detection of corrosion and/or erosion of pipes, vessels, and other components in an industrial facility. The monitoring system may comprise of an arrangement of guided wave (GW) transducers and a longitudinal wave (LW) transducer affixed to the piping component to collectively measure for localized corrosion of the piping component without necessarily requiring a thickness map. The monitoring system may use an intelligent amplified multiplexer/switch to control the operation of the transducers that may be controlled and operated to generate waves in the kilohertz range and megahertz range with the same hardware.
