PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
A production management system is capable of detecting an abnormal tendency in a production line device forming a production line and finding out a trouble of the production line device at an early stage. The production management system includes a weighing device and a packaging device which are production line devices, an inspection device, and a host computer. The production line devices, the inspection device, and the host computer are configured to communicate with each other via a network. The inspection device transmits inspection result information in the own device to the host computer. The weighing device and the packaging device transmit processing result information in the own devices to the host computer. The host computer detects the abnormal tendency of the production line device based on the inspection result information and/or the processing result information and outputs an alarm.
System and a method for processing meat pieces
A system for processing meat pieces includes a radiation inspection apparatus configured to receive a primary stream of meat pieces conveyed by a conveyor and to detect trim products containing undesired objects; a reject device; a control unit configured to operate the reject device using the detected undesired objects as an operation parameter such that the meat pieces containing the undesired objects are separated from the primary stream of trim products; an object remover configured to remove the undesired objects from the meat pieces separated from the primary stream of trim products; and a recirculation apparatus configured to receive the meat pieces after undergoing the object remover and recirculate it as a secondary stream into the radiation inspection apparatus. The secondary stream is separated from the primary stream, and the radiation inspection is configured to detect whether any remaining undesired objects are in the secondary stream.

Matrices for detecting volatile organic compounds
A device for detecting volatile compounds. The device includes a substrate and a matrix disposed on the substrate. The matrix includes a carboxyl-rich binder, a clay, and a pH-sensitive indicator dye admixed with the binder and the clay. The pH-sensitive indicator dye is dimensioned and configured to change color in response to contact with a pre-determined concentration of a volatile compound.

METHOD FOR EXTRACTING RAMAN CHARACTERISTIC PEAKS EMPLOYING IMPROVED PRINCIPAL COMPONENT ANALYSIS
A method for extracting Raman characteristic peaks employing improved principal component analysis comprising: using a confocal microscopic Raman-spectroscopic instrument to collect Raman spectroscopic data from surfaces of pork and beef samples; and performing preprocessing on the Raman spectroscopic data, performing principal component analysis, establishing a principal component loading scatter plot, extracting dot characteristics from the principal component loading scatter plot, analyzing same, and performing filtering on the dot characteristics to obtain Raman characteristic peaks. The method for extracting Raman characteristic peaks employing improved principal component analysis is used to extract Raman characteristic peaks from pork and beef samples, and then the Raman characteristic peaks are inputted into a classifier to undergo classification, thereby achieving high accuracy and quick classification.
