DEVICE AND METHOD USING INFRARED RADIATION TO OBSERVE COAL ROCK FRACTURE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
A device and method of using infrared radiation to observe coal rock fracture development processes, for use in experiments to monitor coal rock fracture development using infrared radiation comprises three telescopic box bodies sleeved together. An infrared thermal imager connected to a computer is arranged at the front end of the telescopic box bodies, and a light-blocking plate is installed on a rear end. The distance between a coal rock test block and a lens of the infrared thermal imager can be freely adjusted via the three telescopic box bodies. The telescopic box bodies are installed on a rock press, and a loading test is performed on the coal rock test block.
METHOD FOR EVALUATING ON-SITE DESORPTION EFFECT OF ACTIVATED COKE
A method for evaluating an on-site desorption effect of activated coke. An on-site desorption effect of activated coke is evaluated in combination with a laboratory simulation desorption process, an activated-coke desorption rate R is calculated by means of measuring the sulfur content of activated-coke samples before and after on-site desorption and the sulfur content of an activated-coke sample after laboratory simulation desorption, and then the on-site desorption effect of activated coke is evaluated, so as to ensure the recycling effect of activated coke. Therefore, the problem of it being impossible to accurately evaluate the on-site desorption effect of activated coke is solved, and an important guidance is provided for on-site process optimization control.

Coal blends, foundry coke products, and associated systems, devices, and methods
Methods and systems for coking coal blends to produce foundry coke products are disclosed herein. Methods for producing coke products can include charging a coal blend into a coke oven; and heating the charged coal blend such that a crown temperature of the coke oven is greater than a lower bound coking temperature. The pyrolysis duration begins when the crown temperature of the oven is greater than the lower bound coking temperature, and ends when the crown temperature of the oven is less than the lower bound coking temperature.

Optical feedback control mechanism for solid reactant strand positioning
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for controlled burning of experimental solid fuel test strands. The fuel test strand is advanced by a screw attached to a computer-controlled stepper motor. The stepper motor controls the fuel test strand position via a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control loop, adjusting velocity based on transmission of a diode laser beam located at the desired fuel surface position. This provides real-time monitoring of fuel strand position and fuel regression rate during combustion experiments.
Methods for producing graphene from coal
A method of preparing graphene from coal can include thermally processing raw coal and, after the coal has been at least partially cooled from thermal processing, forming reduced graphene oxide from the coal.
METHODS FOR PRODUCING GRAPHENE FROM COAL
A method of preparing graphene from coal can include thermally processing raw coal and, after the coal has been at least partially cooled from thermal processing, forming reduced graphene oxide from the coal.
Custom coke production
In one embodiment, a method for producing coke that includes mixing at least a first and a second carbonaceous material into a single feedstock of carbonaceous material. The coking feasibility of the single feedstock of carbonaceous material is then determined. The single feedstock is customized into a predetermined material composition, and then the customized single feedstock is pyrolyzed to produce coke material and coke by-products. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
