Water-containing substance detection device, water-containing substance detection method, and method of manufacturing rubbery polymer
A water-containing substance detection device that detects a water-containing rubbery polymer, includes a conveyor configured to convey rubbery polymers; and a detector configured to detect the water-containing rubbery polymer among the rubbery polymers, conveyed by the conveyor, by a temperature sensor. The conveyor has a surface with an emissivity of 0.50 or more. The temperature sensor has a frame rate falling within a range of 5 Hz to 120 Hz. The detector detects the water-containing rubbery polymer, near an ejection port of the conveyor, and on a downstream side of the ejection port.
System, Method, and Apparatus for Automating Specimen Testing
Described is a compression apparatus for a testing system having a load cell. The compression apparatus includes a compression rod and at least one mechanical fastener. The compression rod has a first portion at a distal end and a second portion that defines a threaded bore at a proximal end. The first portion is configured to contact a specimen and the second portion is configured to couple to the load cell. The mechanical fastener is configured to mate with the threaded bore.
Method of making cured parts
The invention pertains to a method of making cured parts from a composition comprising certain fluoroelastomers and certain bromine-containing compounds under conditions suitable for delivering cured parts possessing outstanding mechanical and sealing properties and incorporating suitable amounts of bromine-containing compounds, so that these cured parts, when submitted to wear/damage would release Br-containing compounds, which can easily detected using appropriate analytical techniques, so as to monitor and anticipate critical failures thereof.
Dynamic Characteristic Measurement Device
An object of the present invention is to provide a dynamic characteristic measurement device capable of accurately measuring dynamic vibration characteristics of a rubber isolator and the like in a high-frequency vibration range. A dynamic characteristic measurement device according to the present invention includes a base, a support part that is placed above the base so as to be capable of floating via an air spring, an electrodynamic vibrator that is provided on the base side of an object under test mounted between the base and the support part and vibrates the object under test, and a load washer that is provided on the support part side of the object under test and measures a dynamic load applied to the object under test. Here, a crosshead of the support part is shaped such that a resonant frequency is at least 3 kHz.
In-line ultrasonic check for detecting the partial vulcanization of a rubber mixture in the in situ silanization of bright fillers
The invention relates to a method for checking the silanization of pale-colored fillers, where a mixture comprising at least one silanized pale-colored filler, preferably silanized silica, and comprising at least one rubber is irradiated with ultrasound waves in a frequency range of 4 to 10 MHz, preferably of 5 to 7 MHz, and the signal strength of the ultrasound waves is determined after transmission through the rubber mixture, where the relative attenuation coefficient α.sub.rel of the rubber mixture in the frequency range of the ultrasound waves is determined, the standard deviation σ of the relative attenuation coefficient α.sub.rel is determined, and α.sub.rel and σ are used for detection of incipient crosslinking of the rubber mixture.
METHOD OF QUANTIFICATION OF FREE SULFUR
Provided is a method of quantification of free sulfur that can accurately measure the free sulfur content of a rubber composition. The present disclosure relates to a method of quantification of free sulfur in a rubber composition, the method including extracting the free sulfur in the rubber composition with toluene.
Rubber wear testing device
Provided is a rubber wear testing device including a holding portion for holding a test sample of rubber, and a compression bonding mechanism for applying an additional force oriented to a circular circumferential surface of a rotation body rotating such that the test sample is pressed to the circular circumferential surface at a predetermined fixed position and the movement of the test sample in a direction opposite to the additional force is always allowed.
SYSTEM FOR INTERACTING WITH POLYISOPRENE BASED PRODUCTS TO ENHANCE SENSING FEATURES
Disclosed is a system for interacting with polyisoprene based products to enhance sensing features. The system includes a hub unit and one or more electronic circuitries operably configured with the polyisoprene based product. The hub unit includes a controller for contactless powering and communicating data with the polyisoprene based product, a generator for generating a frequency, a resonator for increasing voltage level of the frequency, a first electrode for emitting the alternating electric field, a second electrode for receiving the alternating electric field from the polyisoprene based product, an analog digital converter connected to the second electrode to digitize information received from the polyisoprene based product under the influence of the alternating electric field. The one or more electronic circuitries senses the condition of the polyisoprene based product and communicates further to the hub unit for processing and communicating processed information over a communication network.
Expansion ratio detection system
An expansion ratio detection system for rubber, including a controller, a rubber sampling module, a rubber calender, a temperature control module, and an expansion ratio detection module. The rubber sampling module obtains a rubber to be tested consistent with a weight value. After the temperature control module determines that the rubber to be tested has reached a first temperature value, the rubber calender outputs the rubber to be tested having a thickness value. The expansion ratio detection module obtains an expansion ratio according to twice the thickness value and a roller pitch.
