APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MULTIPLEXED ROTATING IMAGING BIOASSAYS
Systems and method for versatile multiplexed spinning/rotating bioassays are provided. This bioassay platform can take the advantage of the high-speed spinning motion, which naturally provides on-the-fly cellular imaging at the rate that cannot be reached by the conventional cameras or laser-scanning techniques, but ultrafast imaging modalities. More importantly, the functionalized solid substrates derived from the disk substrate can be compatible with adherent cell culture as well as biochemically-specific cell-capture, which can now be assayed with ultrafast imaging modalities at an ultra-high-speed line-scan rate of >10 MHz. Large-format spinning high-throughput imaging assay could thus be a potent tool for scaling both the assay throughput as well as content/multiplexity as demanded in many applications, e.g. drug discovery, and rare cancer cell screening.
CARTRIDGE CAPABLE OF CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATION AND AUTOMATIC ANALYSIS
A cartridge capable of a centrifugation and an automatic analysis according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: at least two or more sample wells, a centrifugation well, a measuring well, and a tip receiving well, in which a container is formed into a lower portion along a circumference of a circular plate with a predetermined interval, wherein the centrifugation well is sealed with one lid paper along with at least two or more of the sample wells, a blood injection unit is further formed inside of a radius direction for the centrifugation well, the blood injection unit has an outer blood injection hole formed to be spaced inside the centrifugation well in the radius direction, an inclined passage that communicates with the centrifugation well from the outer blood injection hole, and a cover integrally attached to the outer blood injection hole to open and close the blood injection hole.
Apparatus and Method for Classifying Pictures of Gel-Card Reactions
An apparatus for classifying a picture of a reaction of reactants in a predetermined container; the apparatus comprising a first neural network arranged for receiving an input picture of a reaction of reactants in a predetermined container and for providing, for each reaction category of a first plurality of reaction categories, a probability that the input picture shows a reaction that belongs to said reaction category; a second neural network arranged for, if the first neural response provides a highest probability that the input picture shows a reaction that belongs to a predetermined reaction category, receiving a predetermined portion of the input picture and providing, for each reaction category of a second plurality of reaction categories, a probability that said predetermined portion of the input picture shows a reaction that belongs to said reaction category.
Testing petro-physical properties using a tri-axial pressure centrifuge apparatus
A system for testing properties of a sample, the system including a test cell. The test cell includes a cell casing having a first end piece, a second end piece, and at least one wall extending between the first end piece and the second end piece. The cell casing defines a pressure boundary enclosing an interior region of the cell. The test cell further includes a sample chamber, a first reservoir, and a second reservoir disposed within the pressure boundary. The sample chamber defines an interior region. The first reservoir fluidly connects to the interior region of the sample chamber. The second reservoir fluidly connects to the interior region of the sample chamber. The test cell also has a piston assembly having a piston fluid chamber and a piston with a stem extending into the piston fluid chamber. The piston partially defines the sample chamber.
Systems And Methods For Collecting Mononuclear Cells
Fluid processing assemblies and methods are provided for mononuclear cell collection. Mononuclear cells are separated from red blood cells in a blood separation chamber, with the mononuclear cells and then the red blood cells exiting the chamber via an outlet port. The mononuclear cells and then the red blood cells enter an outlet flow path that is in fluid communication with a mononuclear cell collection container. The outlet flow path includes a visual indicium, which an operator may use to determine the position of the red blood cells within the outlet flow path and when to end mononuclear cell collection by preventing fluid communication between the outlet flow path and the mononuclear cell collection container.
