The method includes the following steps: generating hydrate; preparing a shear and seepage coupling experiment; and performing the shear and seepage coupling experiment. According to a special integrated experimental device, that coupling analysis of seepage and stress in a triaxial shear breakage process of the hydrate can be realized, and different experiments that are liquid seepage experiment and the gas-liquid seepage experiment can be realized.
APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING IN-SITU ADHESION TEST OF COLD SPRAY DEPOSITS AND METHOD OF EMPLOYING
A testing arrangement and method of using in performing an in-situ adhesion test of a cold spray deposit on a surface of a structure. The testing arrangement includes a specimen member having a number of apertures defined therein and a loading arrangement coupled to the specimen member. The loading arrangement is configured to provide a mechanical force of a known magnitude to the specimen member. In performing an in-situ test of a cold spray deposit on a structure, the method includes positioning the testing arrangement with respect to a surface of the structure, depositing the cold spray deposit on the surface of the structure, and testing the adhesion of the cold spray deposit to the surface.
Soft rock shear rheological test system with simulation of coupled rainfall seepage and blasting vibrations
The disclosure relates to a soft rock shear rheological test system with simulation of coupled rainfall seepage and blasting vibrations, which is at least provided with a loading device and a shear box. The loading device includes a frame (2), a normal static load electric cylinder (1) disposed on a top of the frame (2) and a normal dynamic load electric cylinder (16) disposed on a lower portion of the frame (2), a horizontal static load electric cylinder (5) and a horizontal dynamic load electric cylinder (12) disposed on both sides of the frame (2), and a reaction post (10). This test system can perform a dry-wet cycle operation on the test specimen without disassembling the shear box during the shear rheological test, and can truly simulate influences of rainfall seepage and blasting vibrations on the shear rheological effect of soft rock.
SHEAR CONTROL INSTRUMENT UNDER THREE-DIMENSIONAL SPACE CONDITION AND CONTROL METHOD OF SHEAR CONTROL INSTRUMENT
A shear control instrument under a three-dimensional space condition and a control method of the shear control instrument can include a loading system, a transposition system and a control monitoring system. The loading system is used for loading a soil body sample. The transposition system is connected with the loading system in an anchoring manner and is used for adjusting the direction of the loading system. The control monitoring system is connected with the transposition system in an anchoring manner and is used for controlling the transposition system and monitoring test data.

Method for assessing the effects of hypoxia on tissues
A method for assessing an effect of hypoxia on a tissue includes providing a sample of the tissue in a hermetically sealed container, determining a first amount of a reaction substrate (e.g., protocatechuic acid) to be introduced into the sealed container and determining a second amount of a reaction enzyme (e.g., protocatechuate dioxygenase) to be introduced into the sealed container. The method further includes introducing the reaction substrate and the reaction enzyme into the sealed container. At least one of the first amount of the reaction substrate and the second amount of the reaction enzyme is selected to induce at least one of a predetermined amount of hypoxia less than anoxia and a predetermined rate of hypoxia in the tissue during a reaction between the reaction substrate and the reaction enzyme. Values of properties of the tissue can be measured before and after the reaction to assess effects of hypoxia.
