LINEAR ACTUATOR FOR A FURNITURE SYSTEM, ELECTRICALLY ADJUSTABLE FURNITURE SYSTEM, METHOD FOR MOUNTING A LINEAR ACTUATOR IN A FURNITURE SYSTEM AND FURNITURE SYSTEM ARRANGEMENT
A linear actuator for a furniture system comprises at least one axial flux motor (5) having a rotor (9), and at least one motion mechanism (6) attached to the rotor (9). The motion mechanism (6) is adapted to cause a linear movement of the linear actuator.
An electrically adjustable furniture system comprises at least one such linear actuator. A furniture system arrangement comprises at least one first and at least one second such electrically adjustable furniture system. A method of installing a linear actuator in a furniture system comprises the steps mounting at least one axial flux motor (5), mounting at least one motion mechanism (6), and connecting the at least one motion mechanism (6) to a rotor (9) of the at least one axial flux motor (5).
DYNAMIC STANDING DESK
A dynamic standing desk having a work surface configured to move with planar motion parallel with the ground and with a range of movement that adjusts as a function of the size of a user of the desk. The desk may include a base, a tabletop that includes the work surface, a frame that movably couples the tabletop to the base, and at least one actuator configured to provide the planar motion. The desk may be used to reduce lower musculoskeletal discomfort of a user of the desk by oscillating the work surface of the desk with a range of movement based on a length of a limb of the user.
HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE TABLE
The present invention relates to an improved height-adjustable table (1) which can assist and motivate the user to use the height-adjustable table in a manner which increases health, burning of calories and well-being. The table features a system for determination of user presence and measurement of the time of user presence which can be used for alerting the user to change from a sitting to a standing position in front of the table in intervals based on the practical user presence of the table.
Height adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A table assembly comprising a worktop, a frame supporting the worktop, an integrated drive subassembly, a memory storing defined conditions, a control system including a user input control interface and at least one processor, the input control interface for receiving user commands to initiate changes in worktop height, the processor programmed to perform the steps of a) at any time, respond to direct manual user input via the interface to change the worktop height and b) enable a reminder function to periodically change the worktop height by i) monitoring worktop use, ii) comparing worktop use to at least one of the defined conditions, iii) after the at least one condition is met, providing a signal to the user to change the worktop height to a different position, iv) monitoring for user input via the interface to change the worktop height and (v) upon each of the worktop height being changed prior to providing a signal to the user to change the worktop height and the worktop height being changed subsequent to providing a signal to the user to change the worktop height, repeating steps (i) through (v).
Piece of furniture, a method of calibrating an actuator and a method of adjusting a component of a piece of furniture
An electrically adjustable piece of furniture comprises a first and at least one second actuator for adjusting a component of the piece of furniture and a controller for controlling the first and at least one second actuator. The actuators each have a first element and a second element which are displaceable relative to each other, and a sensor attached to the first element and adapted to measure a distance between the first and second elements. The distance measurement is based on a time-of-flight measurement of a wave. The controller is arranged to determine an absolute position of each actuator from the respectively measured distance.
INTELLIGENT OFFICE FURNISHINGS
A system and method for communicatively pairing a mobile communication device and a furniture item, such as a desk or table, includes placing the mobile communication device in a communication zone associated with the furniture item. In response to placing the mobile communication device in the communication zone, a communication link is established between the mobile communication device and a communication circuit of the furniture item. A user interface is then displayed on a display screen of the mobile communication device to show a preset height, such as a standing or sitting height, for the furniture device. When a user selects the preset height, an actuator adjusts the furniture item to the specific height. The communication circuit may use any available wireless communication protocol or circuit.
Height adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A height adjustable table assembly system comprising a worktop, a frame, a height adjustment subassembly integrated into the table assembly and adapted to cause worktop elevation adjustment, a user interface and a processor programmed to perform the steps of, while the worktop is at a current elevation position, upon sensing a quick multiple activation of the interface, controlling the height adjustment subassembly to move the worktop to a stored elevation position and upon sensing a prolonged activation of the interface, controlling the height adjustment subassembly to change worktop elevation while the prolonged activation persists.

The system also includes a plurality of trays for carrying a plurality of pharmacy orders, a tray drop-off station, and a tray delivery conveyor extending between the tray drop-off station and the plurality of picking workstations. The system further includes a tray delivery conveyor extending between the tray drop-off station and the plurality of picking workstations. The system includes a plurality of packing workstations, each packing workstation including an opening to receive a scale and a plurality of receptacles configured to receive shipping label printers. The system also includes at least one inspection workstation, the at least one inspection workstation including at least one product scanner. The system further includes a packing delivery conveyor extending from the plurality of packing workstations.
Intelligent office furnishings
A method of communicatively pairing a first furnishing item with a second furnishing item, the method including impacting the first furnishing item against the second furnishing item. The method also includes generating a first output with a first sensor of the first furnishing item in response to an impact between the first furnishing item and the second furnishing item and generating a second output with a second sensor of the second furnishing item in response to the impact between the first furnishing item and the second furnishing item. The method further includes receiving, by a controller, the first output, receiving, by the controller, the second output, and pairing a first communication circuit of the first furnishing item with a second communication circuit of the second furnishing item in response to receiving the second output within a predetermined time of receiving the first output.
