The present invention relates to complexes of the peptides of the invention with HLA-C monomers or multimers and their use as biomarker and their medical uses, in particular in the treatment of Psoriasis and in monitoring such treatment. The present invention furthermore relates to means and methods for the prevention and/or treatment of Psoriasis, that comprise inhibiting or blocking the interaction of TCR and HLA-C.
COMPLEX-SPECIFIC STANDARDIZATION OF IMMUNOLOGICAL METHODS FOR THE QUANTIFICATION OF S100A12
The present invention relates to mutants of S100A12 having at least one mutation in the high-affinity calcium binding hand or the low-affinity calcium binding hand or the zinc binding region. The present invention also relates to methods of detecting S100A12 dimers in a sample as well as methods of diagnosis using the S100A12 mutant of the invention, as well as to diagnostic compositions and kits comprising such an S100A12 mutant. The present invention further relates to a method of generating an antibody that specifically binds to an S100A12 dimer using the S100A12 mutant of the invention, as well as to an antibody that specifically binds to an S100A12 dimer.
Methods for diagnosing, staging, predicting risk for developing and identifying treatment responders for rheumatoid arthritis
Disclosed are methods for diagnosing, staging, and predicting risk for developing rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases, and methods for identifying treatment responders and non-responders.
METHODS OF ADMINISTERING MONOMETHYL FUMARATE AND PRODRUGS THEREOF HAVING REDUCED SIDE EFFECTS
Methods of improving patient safety and reducing undesirable side effects for patients considering therapeutic treatment using monomethyl fumarate and prodrugs of monomethyl fumarate are disclosed. In particular, a method of treating a disease in a patient in need of such treatment is provided. The method comprises testing the patient for a propensity for a deficiency in tissue glutathione S-transferase theta 1 enzyme (GSTT1) levels. Thereafter, a therapeutically effective amount of a compound selected from monomethyl fumarate (MMF), a prodrug of monomethyl fumarate, and combinations thereof is administered to the patient. During the treatment of the disease, blood lymphocyte concentration is periodically tested in the patient at a predetermined time interval length that is based on the enzyme level propensity testing result.
Differential diagnosis of eczema and psoriasis
The present invention relates to a method of diagnosing eczema and/or psoriasis, wherein said method differentiates between eczema and psoriasis, and comprises determining the expression of at least two markers in a sample taken from an individual, wherein said at least two markers are selected from CCL27, NOS2, IL36G, KLK13, SOST, NPTX1, PLA2G4D, GDA, IL36A, TGM1, CLEC4G, IL13, TCN1, TMPRSS11D and RHCG, provided that said at least two markers consist of or comprise (a) CCL27 and NOS2; (b) CCL27 and KLK13; (c) IL36G and KLK13; (d) CCL27 and IL36G; (e) NOS2 and IL36G; (f) NOS2 and KLK13; (g) SOST; or (h) NPTX1; and assessing on the basis of the expression of said at least two markers whether the individual is afflicted with eczema and/or psoriasis.
GENETIC POLYMORPHISMS ASSOCIATED WITH PSORIASIS, METHODS OF DETECTION AND USES THEREOF
The present invention is based on the discovery of genetic polymorphisms that are associated with psoriasis and related pathologies. In particular, the present invention relates to nucleic acid molecules containing the polymorphisms, including groups of nucleic acid molecules that may be used as a signature marker set, such as a haplotype, a diplotype, variant proteins encoded by such nucleic acid molecules, reagents for detecting the polymorphic nucleic acid molecules and proteins, and methods of using the nucleic acid and proteins as well as methods of using reagents for their detection.
COMPOSITIONS, DEVICES, AND METHODS OF PSORIASIS FOOD SENSITIVITY TESTING
Contemplated test kits and methods for food sensitivity are based on rational-based selection of food preparations with established discriminatory p-value. Exemplary kits include those with a minimum number of food preparations that have an average discriminatory p-value of 0.07 as determined by their raw p-value or an average discriminatory p-value of 0.10 as determined by FDR multiplicity adjusted p-value. In further contemplated aspects, compositions and methods for food sensitivity are also stratified by gender to further enhance predictive value.
Identification of Biomarkers in Serum Samples Collected from Clinical Trials by Multiplex Technology
