Common mode voltage measuring device and common mode voltage measuring method
A common-mode voltage measurement apparatus according to an embodiment includes a measurement electrode attached to a conductor capable of being brought into contact with a coated cable, a measurement circuit configured to measure a common-mode voltage generated in the cable, and a compensation circuit connected in series between the measurement electrode and the measurement circuit, the compensation circuit being configured to compensate for a parasitic capacitive component formed between the measurement electrode and the conductor.

In an embodiment, a circuit includes a first branch coupled between a first node and a second node, the first branch including a first ceramic capacitor, the first ceramic capacitor including terminals configured to receive a first voltage applied therebetween. The circuit further includes a second branch coupled between the first node and a third node, the second branch including a second ceramic capacitor that is substantially identical to the first ceramic capacitor, the second ceramic capacitor including terminals configured to receive a second voltage applied therebetween. The circuit further includes a control circuit configured to modify the second voltage until a first current passing through the second node is substantially equal to a second current passing through the third node.
Floating Voltage Measuring Circuit and Method
In an embodiment, a circuit includes a first branch coupled between a first node and a second node, the first branch including a first ceramic capacitor, the first ceramic capacitor including terminals configured to receive a first voltage applied therebetween. The circuit further includes a second branch coupled between the first node and a third node, the second branch including a second ceramic capacitor that is substantially identical to the first ceramic capacitor, the second ceramic capacitor including terminals configured to receive a second voltage applied therebetween. The circuit further includes a control circuit configured to modify the second voltage until a first current passing through the second node is substantially equal to a second current passing through the third node.
MEASUREMENT ARRANGEMENT FOR MEASURING A VOLTAGE POTENTIAL ON A CONDUCTOR IN A POWER SWITCHING DEVICE AND CORRESPONDING POWER SWITCHING DEVICE
A voltage potential measurement arrangement for measuring a voltage potential on a conductor in an encapsulated power switching device includes at least a portion of the conductor surrounded by a field control component, in particular a field control electrode, having a measuring electrode for capacitive coupling to the conductor. The measuring electrode is disposed outside of the field control component and the field control component is penetrated by at least one aperture at the height of the measuring electrode. A corresponding encapsulated power switching device is also provided.

A dead front connector including a housing, an electrical coupling configured to electrically connect a power cable to a device, and an indicator located on the housing. The dead front connector further including a voltage testing circuit configured to test a voltage between the power cable and the device and illuminate the indicator when the voltage is above a predetermined threshold.

The invention relates to a device (D) for detecting a fault in an electrical network (1), comprising at least one electrical quipment (E) which is electrically connected to a first power conductor (C1) and to a second power conductor (C2), the electrical network (1) being provided with a common conductor (Cc). The device comprises a first measuring member (O1) of the common mode voltage present on the power conductors (C1, C2) and a second measuring member (O2) of a current flowing in the power conductors (C1, C2). The device also comprises a calculator (UP) configured to determine over a determined observation period a mixed energy (E.sub.mix) transported in the measurement region from the first variable (V.sub.res) and the second variable (I.sub.net). The invention also relates to an equipment, a localization system and a method for detecting a fault in an electrical network.
DEVICE FOR DETECTING A FAULT IN AN ELECTRICAL NETWORK, ELECTRICAL NETWORK OR EQUIPMENT COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING A FAULT
The invention relates to a device (D) for detecting a fault in an electrical network (1), comprising at least one electrical quipment (E) which is electrically connected to a first power conductor (C1) and to a second power conductor (C2), the electrical network (1) being provided with a common conductor (Cc). The device comprises a first measuring member (O1) of the common mode voltage present on the power conductors (C1, C2) and a second measuring member (O2) of a current flowing in the power conductors (C1, C2). The device also comprises a calculator (UP) configured to determine over a determined observation period a mixed energy (E.sub.mix) transported in the measurement region from the first variable (V.sub.res) and the second variable (I.sub.net). The invention also relates to an equipment, a localization system and a method for detecting a fault in an electrical network.
Impedance assembly
Impedance assembly (120) for use in a voltage divider for sensing an AC elevated voltage of at least 1 kV of a power-carrying conductor (10) distributing electrical energy in a national grid. The impedance assembly comprises a) a PCB (170); b) a high-voltage contact (80) for connection to the power-carrying conductor; c) a first plurality of impedance elements (70) on the PCB, connected to the high-voltage contact and in series with each other such as to be operable in a first voltage divider (20) for sensing the voltage of the power-carrying conductor; and d) a second plurality of impedance elements (71) on the PCB, connected to the high-voltage contact and in series with each other such as to be operable in a second voltage divider (21) for harvesting electrical energy from the power-carrying conductor.
