Sensory Seat
A sensory seat having a seat portion, a support structure, and a plurality of connection members. The seat portion is suspended from the support structure, being held in suspense via the plurality of connection members. The connection members allow the seat portion to move multi-directionally relative to the support structure. The support structure is composed of two support members and may be outfitted to receive a footrest. The foot rest may be adjustable in height given multiple receiver slots cut into the support members.
Chair and chair tilt control assembly
In an aspect, the invention is directed to a chair that has a pedestal and an upper assembly including a body support assembly and a tilt control assembly. A biasing member is provided to bias the body support assembly towards an unreclined position. When the chair is empty the biasing member has a certain preload. When a person sits in the chair or when a downward force is applied to the upper assembly, there is relative movement between two chair components which causes an increase in the preload in the biasing member as compared to the preload when the chair is empty. As the downward force on the upper assembly increases, the preload in the biasing member increases.
Restricted rocker spring assembly
A furniture member rocker spring assembly includes first and second bracket members arranged in mirror image configuration. First and second springs are positioned between and in direct contact with each of the first and second bracket members. A restrictor bolt assembly is positioned intermediately between the first and second springs. The restrictor bolt assembly includes at least one sleeve member received in an aperture of the first and second bracket members and a fastener that extends through a sleeve bore in the sleeve member. The sleeve member is arranged in sliding contact with at least one of the first and second bracket members.
ROCKER STYLE CHAIRS, MODULAR COMPONENTS FOR USE WITHIN ROCKER STYLE CHAIRS AND PARTS FOR USE WITHIN THE MODULAR COMPONENTS
Rocker style chairs and rocker style chairs with pivoting seats are provided along with modular components for use within rocker style chairs and parts for assembling within the modular components. The related components and chair assemblies minimize manufacturing time, maximize material usage and decrease related installation time. The related rocker style chairs may provide comfort to chair occupants and minimize noise during related chair component motion.
OSCILLATION MECHANISM FOR A CHAIR OR AN ARMCHAIR
An oscillation mechanism for a chair or an armchair having a seat and a backrest is provided. The oscillation mechanism has a functional body hingeable to the seat and/or the backrest and having at least one flexible functional portion that is elastically deformable, and an adjustment device having a movable engagement member and an auxiliary portion having a first end connected to the at least one flexible functional portion and a free end. The adjustment device is configurable in a high-flexibility configuration in which the auxiliary portion is configured in a cantilever fashion, and a reduced flexibility configuration in which the movable engagement member engages the free end, so that the auxiliary portion elastically bends together with the at least one flexible functional portion.
Chair having a movable seat
The chair can attain smooth movement of a seat by using a rolling surface. The chair includes an upper base unit (31) and a lower base unit (32) facing each other, and a seat (1) that is provided in the upper base unit (31) and swings when the upper base unit (31) rolls with respect to the lower base unit (32), and the upper base unit (31), which is at least one of the upper base unit (31) and the lower base unit (32), includes a rolling surface (312a) being curved. In the chair, a region having a different curvature exists in a part of the rolling surface (312a), and an elastic member (33) is interposed between the region having the different curvature and a corresponding region of an opposing surface.
Stowaway compact rocker
A stowaway compact rocker having a set-up condition and a collapsed condition comprises a stationary chair frame base; a movable chair frame seating assembly adapted for rocking movement relative to the stationary chair frame base; and a rocker mechanism operatively connected between the stationary chair frame base and the movable chair frame seating assembly. The stationary chair frame base comprises a lower transverse support member, a pair of leg mounts disposed thereon, front leg tubes, and rear legs tubes, each leg tube being adapted for connection to a leg mount. The movable chair frame seating assembly comprises an upper transverse support member, a pair of seat tube mounts disposed thereon, seat member tubes, each being adapted for connection to a respective one of the seat tube mounts, and back-rest member tubes, each being adapted for connection to a respective one of the seat tube mounts.
Novel Swivel Chair
A swivel chair that includes a base, a rigid component, elastic components, and a chair seat. The base is provided with a rotating shaft that is located at a center and capable of rotating relatively. A middle rear part of the rigid component is connected to the rotating shaft. Front ends of the elastic components are connected to a front end of the rigid component. The chair seat includes a seat plate and a connecting piece connected to a middle rear area of a bottom of the seat plate. A bottom of the connecting piece is connected to rear ends of the elastic components. After elastic deformation is produced under the driving of the chair seat, the rear ends of the elastic components can be subjected to a pressure and integrally backward incline to a certain degree together with the chair seat, and can also forward incline slightly.
Seats
A seat, such as a chair or stool, is disclosed and comprises a frame including at least one leg, an undercarriage which is configured to receive the leg, and a seat pan. The seat pan is rotatably mounted to the undercarriage, wherein the seat pan is rotatable about an axis of rotation relative to the undercarriage. The undercarriage also includes a recess and a resilient component in the recess, while the seat pan includes a stop located on a bottom surface of the seat pan. On rotation of the seat pan relative to the undercarriage, such as may occur when the person seated leans forward or back, the resilient component is compressed between the undercarriage and the stop. In one embodiment, an axle passes through the axis of rotation and connects the legs, and potentially backrest if present, to the undercarriage.
Chair mechanism with selective auto-rocking capability
A mechanism for a seating unit is provided that allows a reclining mechanism to freely rock on a rocker assembly when a locking actuator is in a first position, and that provides an auto-rocking motion, via a rocking actuator, when the locking actuator is in a second position.
