METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING THE DYNAMIC CONSUMPTION OF A MODULE WITHIN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE SUCH AS A SYSTEM ON CHIP
A reference clock signal of at least one module clock signal associated with each module is delivered. A measurement period is generated and a module whose consumption is to be determined is selected. The frequency of the at least one module clock signal associated with the selected module reduced during the measurement period. A measurement of a first consumption of the device is made in the measurement period. A measurement of a second consumption of the device is made outside the measurement period. The consumption of the selected module is determined from the first and measured first and second consumptions.
METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR LEARNING THE PHASE ERROR OR TIMING DELAYS WITHIN A CURRENT TRANSDUCER AND POWER MEASUREMENT APPARATUS INCLUDING CURRENT TRANSDUCER ERROR CORRECTION
Current transducers are widely used in current measuring systems. They provide good isolation between the supply voltage and the measurement equipment. However they can introduce small phase errors which can become significant sources of error if the current to a load is out of phase with the supply voltage for the load. This disclosure discusses a robust measurement apparatus and method that can be used in situ to monitor for and correct phase errors.
Power control device and power control method
Information to be displayed on a display is generated in such a way that a gateway processes a measured value (with a time stamp) transmitted from a power meter, an appliance monitor, a solar module, and a battery center through a wireless LAN. In the gateway, information relating to the consumed electric energy is synchronized with each other by the time stamp. Further, an integrated value of the consumed electric energy is calculated with respect to time. The information can be secured by obtaining the integrated value of data even if breakdown of devices and the like occurs due to power failure.

GENERATING SIMULATED WAVEFORMS FOR AN ELECTRIC METER WHEN OPERATING IN A SIMULATION MODE
Techniques for generating simulated waveforms for an electric meter include operating a meter in simulation mode without an external load device connected to the meter. Simulated waveforms are generated for a number of channels based on waveform component values. The waveforms are generated at a rate that corresponds to a sample rate of an analog to digital converter (ADC) of the meter. In simulation mode, the waveforms are provided to a meter firmware interface, instead of the waveform data obtained from the ADC.
UTILITY METER FOR USE WITH DISTRIBUTED GENERATION DEVICE
An integrated metering device allows a resource provider to control the output of a distributed generation device onto a resource distribution network or grid. The integrated metering device may include a communications module, a metrology module, an inverter and regulator device, and a transfer switch. A resource provider may communicate with the integrated metering device via the communications module and may control the inverter and regulator device or the transfer switch. The metrology module may monitor the energy provided by the distributed generation device to the grid and may send information about the generated energy to the resource provider via the communications module.
