A condition detecting method and device for a surface insulation layer of an elevator traction belt. The condition detecting method includes: positioning a detecting component adjacent to the surface insulation layer of the elevator traction belt; moving the elevator traction belt relative to the detecting component, so that the detecting component scans the surface insulation layer of the elevator traction belt; applying static electricity to the detecting component through a static electricity generation component; detecting the reaction of the elevator traction belt to the static electricity; and identifying the condition of the surface insulation layer of the elevator traction belt according to the detected reaction of the elevator traction belt to the static electricity.

A lightning strike alarm system using a Bipolar Conventional Air Terminal comprises a sensor electrically connected to a rod element electrified by a ground charge and an electrification plate-cone or an electrification plate-tube electrified by a thunderstorm cloud, and configured to measure electric energy induced in the electrification plate-cone or the electrification plate-tube; and a controller configured to determine that the thunderstorm cloud has approached when the electrical energy is greater than a reference energy; and an alarm device configured to output an alarm signal, based on a result of determining that the thunderstorm cloud has approached, wherein the sensor comprises: a luminescence unit, including a voltage stabilizer preventing induction of a high voltage due to the thunderstorm cloud, configured to emit light by the electric energy; and a light receiver configured to receive the light, convert the light to electric energy, and transfer the electric energy to the controller.

The present disclosure relates to an optical fiber detection device for detecting a discharge fault of a high-voltage bushing, which includes an optical fiber sensing unit, an optical fiber delay unit, a photoelectric conversion unit, and a signal collecting and processing unit. The optical fiber sensing unit includes sensing optical fibers; the optical fiber delay unit includes delay optical fibers, a light source, and couplers; the photoelectric conversion unit includes a photodetector; the signal collecting and processing unit includes a high-pass filter. The delay optical fibers are connected to the couplers; an output end of the light source is connected to the light-splitting coupler; an input end of the photodetector is connected to the light-splitting coupler, and an output end of the photodetector is connected to the signal collecting and processing unit; and the light-combining coupler is connected to the sensing optical fibers.

A lightning strike alarm system using a Bipolar Conventional Air Terminal (BCAT) is provided. The lightning strike alarm system using BCAT including a rod element to which a ground charge is electrified and an electrification plate-cone or an electrification plate-tube electrified by a thunderstorm cloud, includes a luminescence unit to be electrically connected to the rod element and the electrification plate-cone or the electrification plate-tube and emits light by electric energy electrified to the electrification plate-cone or the electrification plate-tube by the thunderstorm cloud. The lightning strike alarm system enables a user to find that an impulse current of the thunderstorm is normally and safely flown to the ground, and thus, the user may have psychological security.

Exterior contamination of the transformer tank is detected based on the comparison.

The controller can receive the first measurement from the sensor device, and process the at least one first algorithm using the first measurement. The controller can also identify a problem with the electrical equipment based on results of the at least one first algorithm, and instruct the user to perform specific tasks to correct the problem with the electrical equipment.
