Sacral air bladder assembly
A seat assembly is provided with a seat bottom and a seat back mounted adjacent the bottom. The seat back and seat bottom are provided with an occupant seating surface. At least one air bladder is oriented in a sacral region the seat bottom or the seat back. The air bladder has a support surface defined by a enlarged width portion and extends to an elongated tapered portion. When the air bladder is inflated, the support surface is inclined from the taper portion to the enlarged width portion relative to the seating surface.
MEASURING AND ADJUSTING PRESSURE OF SUPPORT CUSHIONS
A method for controlling a cushion is disclosed. The method involves receiving digital data that corresponds to signals from at least one pressure transducer that is pneumatically coupled to a bladder of a cushion, determining that the digital data includes an indication of at least one of a heart beat and breathing, determining that a person is sitting on the cushion in response to determining that the digital data includes an indication of at least one of a heart beat and breathing, and applying a control signal within the controller in response to determining that a person is sitting on the cushion.
FURNITURE ASSEMBLY AND SYSTEMS
A furniture assembly system including a furniture assembly including an inner member including an inner member body and a filler disposed within the inner member, and an outer cover configured to selectively receive the inner member, and a furniture accessory selectively operatively coupled to the furniture assembly. The furniture assembly can be a frameless furniture assembly.
Waist support chair
A waist support chair includes a framework, a back support member, and a hips support member. The framework includes a back support frame and a chair bottom pivotally coupled to each other. The back support member is arranged on the back support frame and adjacent to the chair bottom. The back support member includes two upper support elements horizontally disposed and left-right symmetric to each other and two lower support elements horizontally disposed and left-right symmetric to each other. Two lower support elements are disposed between two upper support elements and the chair bottom. The hips support member is arranged on the chair bottom and includes a plurality of hollow elastic columns. When pressure is applied to the hollow elastic columns, the hollow elastic columns are compressed to release air.
SEAT CUSHION
A seat cushion according to the present invention is configured as a fluid or gas containing bag. When weight of buttocks are transferred back and forth in left, right, front, rear directions, the fluid or gas contained therein will be transferred back and forth. The level of the fluid or gas contained in the seat cushion is defined by the manufacturer which is 5-40 millimeters. The fluid or gas is detained inside in use. The seat cushion can be laid on cushion of different seats and on the floor.
AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTING COMFORT SYSTEM
An automatically adjusting comfort method includes measuring pressure applied by a user via a pressure-sensor array, determining a pressure profile based on measurements from the pressure-sensor array, comparing the pressure profile to a first limit, determining a cumulative pressure profile over a predetermined duration, comparing the cumulative pressure profile to a second limit, and adjusting one or more of a plurality of adjusting mechanisms configured to alter the pressure profile for increased comfort of the user when the pressure profile exceeds the first limit or the second limit. An automatically adjusting comfort system includes a pressure-sensor array communicatively coupled to a controller for determining a cumulative pressure profile over time, and a plurality of adjusting mechanisms configured to alter the pressure profile to increase a user's comfort, wherein the controller automatically adjusts one or more of the plurality of adjusting mechanisms based on the cumulative pressure profile.
ADJUSTABLE SEAT CUSHION
A seat cushion assembly includes a base defining a leg support, a support portion recessed relative to the leg support, and a well recessed relative to the support portion, and an air pad assembly including a first air support member and a second air support member, the first air support member being positioned on the recessed support portion, and the second air support member being removably received by the well.
Wireless Tracking System to Monitor and Guide a User
Multiple different sensors are worn by a user to monitor a user's movement. Information associated with the user's monitored movement is gathered from the sensors and analysis of the gathered information produces one or more notifications that can guide the user on how to conduct the movement. The notifications are then provided to the user.
Pelvic and sacral bladder assembly
An air bladder assembly for a seat comprising is provided. A central sacral bladder has a support surface defined by an enlarged width portion connected to an elongated tapered portion, wherein the tapered portion is defined by elongated lateral sides. A pair of side iliac bladders is provided so that one of the side bladders is positioned adjacent each of the elongated sides of the central bladder. A support surface of the central air bladder is not parallel to a support surface of the side air bladders when the air bladder assembly is inflated.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ADAPTING THE CONTOUR OF A BACK ELEMENT TO THE POSTURE OF A PERSON
A device and a method for adapting a contour of a back element to a posture of a person. The device includes a seat element and aback element connected to the seat element in a tiltable way, for accommodating a person, and a control unit. A bearing pressure sensor is configured for measuring an actual bearing pressure distribution exerted by the person. The back element includes a first actuating element for changing the contour of the back element. The control unit selects a predetermined posture and a characteristic target posture parameter matching the predetermined posture, calculates an actual posture parameter from the actual bearing pressure distribution and compares the actual posture parameter with the target posture parameter, and when the actual posture parameter and the target posture parameter match, actuates the first actuating element to adapt the contour of the back element to the posture of the person.
