The method includes: a terminal device receives a first broadcast signal block of a first satellite; obtains a measurement value of the first broadcast signal block; obtains positioning assistance information, from the first satellite, indicating a frequency and a polarization direction of the second satellite, where a frequency and/or a polarization direction of the first satellite are/is different from the frequency and the polarization direction of the second satellite; receives a second broadcast signal block of the second satellite based on the positioning assistance information; obtains a measurement value of the second broadcast signal block; and obtains location information of the terminal device based on the measurement value of the first broadcast signal block and the measurement value of the second broadcast signal block.

The apparatus may comprise means for receiving, at a plurality of antennae, a reference signal associated with positioning and determining cross-correlation values comprising a cross correlation between the reference signal received at each antenna and a known reference signal associated with positioning. There may also be provided means for estimating a channel response for a reference antenna of the plurality of antennae using the cross correlation values, the known reference signal and an antenna correlation comprising a known relationship between a channel response of each antenna of the plurality of antennae and the channel response of the reference antenna, and determining a time of arrival and/or an angle of arrival of the received reference signal based on the estimated channel response for the reference antenna.

Method and apparatus for measuring downlink positioning of an SCell in a dormant state. The apparatus receives, from a base station, a dormancy state configuration of an SCell associated with the base station. The apparatus measures downlink positioning measurements associated with at least one frequency corresponding to the SCell in a dormant state based on the dormancy state configuration. The apparatus may measure downlink positioning measurements associated with at least one frequency corresponding to at least one active cell associated with the base station. The apparatus may report the downlink positioning measurements of the SCell in the dormant state to an active cell associated with the base station.

Network-inferred synchronization for positioning measurements

A wireless network including user equipment (UE) and base stations is configured to perform position determination with low latency and synchronized to a common time within a wireless network. The UE and base stations are configured to perform positioning measurements at a specific time point or within a window around the time point in a measurement period. The time point may be relative to a timing event within the wireless network, such as the beginning or end of a positioning reference signal window or a specific message in a layer 1 or layer 2 transmission. A location server may be provided with the positioning measurements or a position estimate from the UE and provide the position estimate to an external client within the measurement period.

In one embodiment, the method comprises: building, at a topology entity communicatively coupled to a wireless network a low-resolution spatial topology of said wireless network; selecting a list of a plurality of participating anchors for participating in a plurality of ranging events with a participating tag positionally associated with a designated asset; sending to the participating tag and to each of the participating anchors, an indication that a plurality of ranging events is to be executed therebetween; and executing, between the participating tag and each of the participating anchors, a ranging event of said plurality of ranging events; and computing, at a positioning engine a position of the participating tag and the designated asset based on a ranging information generated by the plurality of ranging events.

In various embodiments, a sort employee scans an indicia using a user device, which stores asset data corresponding to the stored asset. As the sort employee nears a sort location (e.g., a delivery vehicle) with the asset and the user device, the user device automatically communicates wirelessly with a sort location receiver to associate the asset with data indicative of the sort location where the user deposits the asset. In various embodiments, a device may determine whether the user device is proximate the appropriate sort location for the item, and may generate an alert upon a determination that the user device is proximate an incorrect sort location.
