Seat structure and chair

A seat structure comprises a base configured to be a chair base assembly; a seat support located above the base, wherein a front part of the seat support has rotary connection with the front part of the base through a transition link; a chair back assembly having rotary connection with a rear part of the base through a pivot; a lever driving member linked between the chair back assembly and the seat support, and having rotary connection with a rear part of the seat support, wherein the lever driving member and the seat support are approximately on the same surface. When the chair back assembly rotates rearward around the pivot from the initial position, the rear part of the seat support is raised diagonally to the rear through the lever driving member, meanwhile the transition link and the front part of the seat support are pulled up.

SUSPENSION FABRIC SEAT HEATING SYSTEM

A suspension fabric seat includes a fabric seat surface formed from a woven fabric material having heating element fibers. The heating element fibers are in electrical communication with a conductor. A carrier is overmolded onto the seat surface. The carrier and the conductor are disposed in a frame and a connector is mounted to the frame in electrical communication with the conductor.

Chair

A folding chair includes front and rear supports that fold and/or retract into central beams to reduce the space occupied by the chair in a folded configuration. A backrest is coupled to the central beams with a hub that allows an angle of the backrest relative to the central beams to be selected and for the backrest to be folded flat relative to the central beams. One or more actuators and pin actuators may control the relative movements of the backrest, front support, rear support, and central beams.

Chair with a flexible backrest

A chair having a backrest having an upper backrest section and a lumbar section, wherein the lumbar section is provided with a plurality of perforations and is elastically deformable to allow a backward tilting movement of the upper backrest section under a backward thrust applied from a user's back, and wherein the perforations stop the backward tilting movement of the upper backrest section in a position of maximum backward tilt of the upper backrest section.

Fabric for modular chair
11930936 · 2024-03-19 · ·

Fabric for a modular chair suitable for defining a surface in use and for supporting a user when seated on the chair, and a perimeter area defined by edges of the surface. The fabric includes, at the surface, a periodic weave, the base of which includes at least one main filament, inside of which at least one secondary filament is also inserted, arranged in a weft along a predetermined trajectory. The main filament and the secondary filament are mutually and tightly attached at the perimeter area. The fabric includes at least one spool defining a long element trapped inside part of the fabric along the perimeter area wherein the weaving of the main filament creates a tubular shape suitable for housing the spool, and the secondary filament at least partially wraps the spool to mutually block the main filament and the secondary filament at the spool.

COMPLIANT SEATING STRUCTURE

A seating structure includes a shell having a central portion, opposite outer peripheral edges laterally spaced from opposite sides of the central portion, and at least one biasing array disposed between each of the opposite sides of the central portion and a respective outer peripheral edge. Each of the biasing arrays includes a plurality of spaced apart support members and at least one connector connecting adjacent support members within each array. The biasing array may include a plurality of biasing arrays, with at least one connector connecting adjacent biasing arrays. A second shell may be connected to the outer peripheral edges of the first shell, with an open space defined there between. Each of the opposite outer peripheral edges is independently deflectable in response to a load being applied to the second shell.

BODY SUPPORT ASSEMBLY AND METHODS FOR THE USE AND ASSEMBLY THEREOF

A body support assembly includes a seat assembly and backrest assembly supported by a tilt control assembly. Methods of using and assembling the body support assembly are provided.

Body support assembly and methods for the use and assembly thereof

A seat assembly includes a base and a support platform spaced above the base. The support platform includes a pad having a hinge portion defining a flex region, wherein the pad is pivotable about the flex region. A link has a lower portion coupled to the base and an upper portion coupled to the pad, wherein the upper portion is pivotable with the pad about the flex region.

SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

The invention is directed to a support assembly for a chair, comprising a carrier shell, a receiving shell mountable on the carrier shell, and a locking element. The carrier shell and the receiving shell each have, in an edge region, connection structures formed in a manner complementary to one another. The connection structures are configured to engage in one another in the mounted state in such a way that they form a through-channel into which the locking element can be introduced.

Adjustable backrest
