Satellite locating and communication method and system for a fixed radio terminal on the ground using at least one non-geostationary satellite
A locating and communication method for a radio terminal by means of a satellite locating and communication system, which implements a first step, in the course of which the radio terminal transmits to a non-geostationary satellite a repeating sequence a predetermined number of times N for the same data packet, which is time-shifted by the same predetermined time shift Δτ each time is provided. Subsequently, a satellite access and processing ground station determines the location of the radio terminal from the data packets with access, which are extracted from a listening signal digitized and dated by the satellite and from the same detected sequence associated with said radio terminal, and from the ephemerides of the satellite by using a technique for measuring angle or angles of arrival by means of sequenced interferometry associated with a technique for measuring Doppler drift or drifts.
Identification of selected items through radiolocation and movement detection
A method of identifying item selection by a user, the method comprising: receiving signals at a receiver of a fixed terminal from a transmitter of a mobile terminal associated with the user, generating a signature at the receiver of the fixed terminal of the movement of the user based on changes in the signals received from the transmitter, matching the signature with prior stored movement information to determine the movement of the user, and identifying the item being selected by the user based on the determined movement of the user.
SENSOR FUSION FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC TRACKING
Head-mounted augmented reality (AR) devices can track pose of a wearer's head or pose of a hand-held user input device to enable wearer interaction in a three-dimensional AR environment. A pose sensor (e.g., an inertial measurement unit) in the user input device can provide data on pose (e.g., position or orientation) of the user input device. An electromagnetic (EM) tracking system can also provide pose data. For example, the handheld user input device can include an EM emitter that generates an EM field, and the head-mounted AR device can include an EM sensor that senses the EM field. The AR device can combine the output of the pose sensor and the EM tracking system to reduce drift in the estimated pose of the user input device or to transform the pose into a world coordinate system used by the AR device. The AR device can utilize a Kalman filter to combine the output of the pose sensor and the EM tracking system.
