Envelope Regulation in a Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave Radar System
A radar system that can block false echoes includes: a local oscillator configured to generate a chirp signal comprising a plurality of chirps, each having a corresponding envelope; a transmitter configured to transmit a signal corresponding to the chirp signal; and a modulation circuit configured to modulate the transmitted signal by regulating a magnitude of one or more portions of the chirp envelopes in a predetermined pattern such that the radar system can discern false echoes which do not match the pattern.
RADAR MULTIPATH FILTER WITH TRACK PRIORS
The present disclosure is directed to processing data associated with a non-radar type sensing device to identify data points associated with a radar type sensing device that are likely secondary radar reflections such that a processor of a sensing apparatus can direct processing resources to processing radar data that are associated with primary radar reflections. The receipt of secondary radar reflections may cause a processor of a sensing apparatus to identify that an object is located at a location when there is no object in that location. Because of this, methods and apparatus of the present disclosure identify and avoid processing radar data that are likely to be associated with a object that does not exist. Eliminating false radar data, therefore, can prevent a processor of a sensing apparats from performing unnecessary processing tasks and can help prevent that processor from making false determinations.
METHOD FOR ESTIMATING NOISE IN A RADAR SENSOR
A method for estimating noise in a radar sensor, which generates a digital spectrum which indicates a received signal strength as a function of at least one discrete locating parameter, and on this spectrum a CFAR detection is carried out to decide whether an examined cell in the locating space contains a genuine radar target or just noise and a determination of a noise level is also carried out on the basis of the signal strengths in a selection of neighboring cells in the vicinity of the examined cell. The CFAR detection precedes the determination of the noise level and cells identified in the CFAR detection as target cells are excluded from the selection of the neighboring cells.
Radar transmission time interval randomized radar transmissions
Certain aspects provide a method for radar detection by an apparatus. The method including transmitting a radar waveform in transmission time intervals (TTIs) to perform detection of a target object. The method further includes varying the radar waveform across TTIs based on one or more radar transmission parameters.
FMCW radar with interference signal suppression
A method is described that can be used in a radar system. In accordance with one exemplary embodiment, the method includes calculating a first spectrum, which represents a spectrum of a segment of a complex baseband signal. The segment is assignable to a specific chirp of a chirp sequence contained in a first RF radar signal. The method further includes estimating a second spectrum, which represents a spectrum of an interference signal contained in the complex baseband signal, based on a portion of the first spectrum that is assigned to negative frequencies.
SIGNAL TRANSMISSION METHOD AND RELATED APPARATUS
Example signal transmission methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer storage media are disclosed. One example method includes obtaining, by a first detection apparatus, a first moment, where the first moment is a start moment of a first time unit, and the first time unit is used for the first detection apparatus to send a first signal. The first signal is sent by the first detection apparatus based on a first periodicity, where the first signal is used to indicate sending resource information of a detection signal, and the first time unit is further used for a second detection apparatus to receive the first signal.
SIGNAL SENDING METHOD AND RELATED APPARATUS
A signal sending method and a detection apparatus are provided. One method includes: sending, by a detection apparatus, a first signal for target detection, and sending, by the detection apparatus, a second signal indicating information about a resource occupied by the first signal.
METHOD FOR REDUCING INTERFERENCE EFFECTS IN A RADAR SYSTEM
The invention describes a method for reducing interference effects in a radar system, which has at least two transceiver units (S1, S2), which are in particular spatially separated from one another, wherein the method comprises the following steps: —a transmission step (VS1), in which a first transmission signal (sigTX1) of the first transceiver unit (S1) is sent and received to and by a second transceiver unit (S2) and a second transmission signal (sigTX2) of the second transceiver unit (S2) is sent and received to and by the first transceiver unit (S1) via a radio channel (T), wherein the transmission signals (sigTX1, sigTX2) are modulated according to an orthogonal frequency multiplex method; and—a pre-correction step (VS2), in which correction values (γ1, γn, γ2) are determined from the received transmission signals (sigTX1, sigTX2) and in particular are exchanged between the transceiver stations (S1, S2), wherein the received transmission signals (sigRX1, sigRX2) are postprocessed on the basis of the correction values (γ1, γn, γ2), so that influences of interference variables, in particular of phase noise and/or a time offset and/or unknown initial phase positions, are reduced.
INTEGRATED WIDEBAND STEPPED-CHIRP RADAR SENSOR
The disclosed FMCW radar system is configured to achieve a wide synthetic bandwidth of operation and a high range resolution. The disclosed FMCW radar system includes a receiver that combines the intermediate frequency (IF) components of multiple narrowband receivers to achieve the millimeter-scale range resolution. The disclosed FMCW radar system can be easily scaled, which enables it to be deployed in large arrays of antennas in order to attain high angular resolution. Additionally, the operation frequency of the disclosed FMCW radar system enables millimeter level cross-range resolution. In this manner, accurate estimation of the location and/or velocity of the objects within the local-sensing range (and potentially beyond) can be achieved.
Target Detection Method and Radar Apparatus
A target detection method includes a radar apparatus that performs at least one interference sensing on a plurality of first time domain resources and determines a second time-frequency resource used for target detection in a first time-frequency resource based on a result of the at least one interference sensing. The first time domain resources are a subset of time domain resources corresponding to a time-frequency resource of a first detection apparatus, and the first time-frequency resource is the time-frequency resource of the first detection apparatus.
