System and method for generating point cloud data in a radar based object detection
According to an aspect, method of enhancing a resolution in a radar system having an antenna aperture comprises measuring a first radiation pattern corresponding to a first set of receiving antennas by feeding a known radio frequency (RF) signal over the first set of receiving antennas, wherein the first set of radiation due to an impairment, coherently combining an interpolated radiation pattern with a received radar signal received by the set of receiving antenna when employed for an object detection, to generate a high signal to noise ratio (SNR) received signal, and iteratively combining the high SNR received signal with the interpolated signal to reduce the error due to the impairment.

Six-port self-injection-locked radar
A six-port self-injection-locked (SIL) radar includes an oscillation element, an antenna element, a six-port frequency demodulation element and a signal processing element. Because of a coupler and a phase shifter of the six-port frequency demodulation element, the signal processing element can extract vibration information of subject by using only two demodulated signals output from the six-port frequency demodulation element. As a result, the operation frequency of the six-port SIL radar is not limited by hardware architecture, and the hardware costs and the power consumption are also reduced.

A mobile terminal includes: a UWB chip, configured to output UWB pulse signals of a first preset quantity in a signal cycle and further configured to generate a frame of detection data on the basis of echo signals of signal cycles of a second preset quantity; a switchover module, configured to control an antenna module to be switched to a target antenna, in which the target antenna includes a first target antenna configured to radiate the UWB pulse signals into space and a second target antenna configured to receive echo signals; and a processor, configured to recognize a gesture on the basis of at least one frame of detection data.
Wave-Shaped Ground Structure for Antenna Arrays
This document describes techniques, apparatuses, and systems for a wave-shaped ground structure for antenna arrays. A radar system may include a ground structure with a first surface having a wave shape and a second surface opposite the first surface. The ground structure includes multiple antenna arrays separated in a longitudinal direction on the first surface. Each antenna array includes one or more antenna elements configured to emit or receive electromagnetic (EM) energy. The ground structure also includes antenna feeds separated in the longitudinal direction on the second surface and operably connected to the antenna arrays. The wave shape of the ground structure configures the radar system to provide an antenna radiation pattern that provides a uniform radiation pattern among the antenna arrays. The wave shape can also be configured to provide an asymmetrical radiation pattern or a narrow beamwidth for specific applications.
Processing radar signals
A method for processing a radar signal is provided. The method may include receiving chirps of a radar signal, sampling the radar signal, dividing the samples that correspond to the chirp of the radar signal into at least two virtual chirps, and processing the radar signal based on the at least two virtual chirps. Also, a corresponding device is provided.
