PHASED-ARRAY ANTENNA DEVICE
A phased-array antenna device with a long operating life without mechanical parts, has a high spatial resolution, and realizes microwave observation of broadband and highfrequency resolution. The phased-array antenna device performs direct A/D conversion through a BPF on an antenna analog signal amplified by an amplifier. Then, the device performs a second cross-spectrum calculation after conversion into complex frequency data through FFT. To detect a weak electromagnetic wave, the device repeatedly performs a second FFT over a long period and lastly performs integration.
RADAR DEVICE AND RADAR IMAGE GENERATION METHOD
A radar device includes: a control unit to cause a series of processing to be repeatedly executed, the series of processing including transmitting transmission signals to space using transmission antennas arranged linearly, receiving reflected signals that are the transmission signals reflected in the space using reception antennas linearly arranged in the same direction as the transmission antennas, transmitting the transmission signals simultaneously from the transmission antennas, receiving the reflected signals by the reception antennas, and acquiring digital data; and a signal processing unit to generate a three-dimensional radar image of a target moved in a direction crossing an antenna arrangement direction of the transmission antennas and the reception antennas by using the digital data sequentially acquired in the series of processing repeatedly executed as two-dimensional array data.
SUPER RESOLUTION SYSTEM, DEVICE AND METHODS
A super resolution system, the system including: at least one antenna; transmission electronics; receiving electronics; and receiving computing electronics, where the transmission electronics are structured to transmit a first electromagnetic wave having an Orbital Angular Momentum wave-front thru the antenna towards a target, where the transmission electronics are structured to transmit a second electromagnetic wave having a non Orbital Angular Momentum wave-front thru a first portion of the antenna towards the target, where the receiving electronics are structured to form a first signal from a first return wave of the first electromagnetic wave, where the receiving electronics are structured to form a second signal from a second return wave of the second electromagnetic wave, and where the receiving computing electronics are structured to compute target information by using at least one difference between the first signal and the second signal.

Dual Pulsed Mode FMCW Radar Retrofit Conversion with Adaptive Sweep Configuration
A retrofit system applied to existing FMCW radars in order to convert them into pulsed linear frequency-modulated radars with the ability to dynamically switch between two pulsed modes and an FMCW mode based on the estimated range of a target. This retrofit also includes provisions for adaptively configuring chirp and sweep parameters to optimize range resolution. The result is a retrofit system capable of converting an FMCW radar into a dual pulsed mode radar with adaptive sweep configuration.
