System and method for wireless collaborative verification of global navigation satellite system measurements
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for verifying the quality of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) measurements. The system includes a GNSS receiver, a wireless communications device, and a fault detection processor. The GNSS receiver includes a GNSS antenna for receiving signals from a plurality of global navigation satellites and a processor for calculating a ranging measurement for each of the global navigation satellites from the GNSS receiver to the global navigation satellite. The wireless communications device receives ranging measurements from at least one other GNSS receiver. The fault detection processor performs a fault detection algorithm to determine if there is an anomaly affecting the ranging measurements of the GNSS receiver and the at least one other GNSS receiver.

Monitor based ambiguity verification for enhanced guidance quality
Methods and systems useful in determining relative position of moveable vehicle, for example including a GPS receiver, may include determining candidate integer ambiguities in groups, and performing tests to check usefulness of those candidate integer ambiguities.
GNSS architecture
Disclosed are various embodiments of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) chipsets or architecture. Based upon a requested accuracy and/or update of a host application, embodiments of the disclosure can calculate position data points on-board the GNSS chipset or allow a host processor to calculate position data points, which can allow the host processor to enter a low power mode if the requested update rate and/or accuracy allow.
System and method for determining location of an interfering signal source
A system and method to determine the location of an interfering signal source within a few meters. Three or more networked GNSS receivers are located at known locations and used to simultaneously collect and time-stamp data samples at L1 and L2. The data samples are passed over the network to a server which identifies samples associated with an interfering signal, cross correlates associated samples from pairs of receivers, and applies a discriminator function to significantly improve the accuracy of a computed time difference of arrival (TDOA) for the interfering signal, thereby significantly improving the accuracy of the location determination.
ADVANCED WARNING AND RISK EVASION SYSTEM AND METHOD
This invention relates in general to the field of safety devices, and more particularly, but not by way of limitation, to systems and methods for providing advanced warning and risk evasion when hazardous conditions exist. In one embodiment, a vicinity monitoring unit is provided for monitoring, for example, oncoming traffic near a construction zone. In some embodiments, the vicinity monitoring unit may be mounted onto a construction vehicle to monitor nearby traffic and send a warning signal if hazardous conditions exist. In some embodiments, personnel tracking units may be worn by construction workers and the personnel tracking units may be in communication with the vicinity monitoring unit. In some embodiments, a base station is provided for monitoring activities taking place in or near a construction site including monitoring the locations of various personnel and vehicles within the construction site.

Power Preservation in GPS-Equipped Tracking Devices
Power can be preserved in a tracking device equipped with a GPS receiver and a transceiver by evaluating the proximity of the tracking device to a mobile device and enabling the GPS receiver and transceiver only in the event that the tracking device is out of the range of the mobile device. Once enabled, the location of the tracking device can be determined based on location information received from the GPS receiver. The determined location can be provided to a tracking system associated with the tracking device. The tracking system can then inform an owner of the tracking device of the determined location. Once the tracking device has been found, the GPS receiver and the transceiver can be disabled to save additional power.
