An electronic watch includes a frame and a cover. The cover is attached to the frame, and the frame and cover at least partially define an interior volume of the electronic watch. An optical sensor assembly including a light emitter and a light receiver is positioned within the inter volume of the frame. An optical barrier is positioned between the optical sensor assembly and the cover and includes a magnetic material that forms a light blocking-wall between the light emitter and the light receiver. The magnetic material is configured to removably couple the electronic watch with a charging device via a magnetic attraction between the magnetic material and a magnetic component of the charging device.

Multi-Phase Fluid Identification For Subsurface Sensor Measurement

A method and a system for measuring downhole fluid properties. The downhole fluid sampling tool may comprise at least one probe and at least one passageway that passes through the at least one probe and into the downhole sampling tool. The method may comprise drawing a wellbore fluid through the at least one probe and through the at least one passageway, obtaining a first channel measurement of the wellbore fluid, obtaining at least a second channel measurement, clustering channel data from a plurality of channel measurements comprising the first channel measurement and the at least second channel measurement, and measuring a phase through a plurality of channels. The method may further comprise separating a plurality of phase signals based on the phase measured through the plurality of channels, labeling the wellbore fluid, assigning the plurality of phase signals to specific phases of a multi-phase fluid, and estimating a fluid property.

Image reading apparatus and control method to perform a determination of whether a medium overlaps another medium based on the light quantity being above or below a threshold after changing the light quantity from a first light quantity to a second light quantity
11616888 · 2023-03-28 · ·

When a medium detector detects that a state where a medium is absent is switched to a state where the medium is present with a light quantity of the medium detector set to a first light quantity, a controller in an image reading apparatus switches the light quantity from the first light quantity to a second light quantity, which is larger than the first light quantity. When a quantity of the light received by the medium detector exceeds a threshold, the controller determines whether the media overlaps each other, based on the detection result of the multi-feed detector. When the quantity of the light received does not exceed the threshold, the controller skips the determination of whether the media overlaps each other.
