A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.

An outdoor chaise lounge including a lock-box integrated therein. The chaise lounge may have a photovoltaic device mounted to a portion of a seat member where a user rests his or her head, and the lock-box may be positioned below a foot portion of the seat member. The foot portion of the seat member may be configured to be rotated upwards to enable a user to access the lock-box. In an embodiment, electronic devices may be integrated into a member of the chaise lounge, such as a leg member, frame member, or armrest, and be configured to enable a user to order food, beverages, attendants, or perform other communications with a billing or other system of a venue (e.g., hotel, cruise ship, etc.) via a wireless communication.

A lounge having a matrix mat and a plurality of modules capable of being inserted into the matrix mat. The lounge may include a frame configured as a rigid frame, a modular frame, and combinations thereof. The modular frame may further include a tri-cable suspension. The tri-cable suspension may be attached to a dilator retractor mechanism. The modules may be a mushroom cap module, a spider spring module, a web module, a lighting module, an electronics module, and combinations thereof.

A portable tower with electrical capability includes a housing with base, central, and upper housing portions, and with electrical power and/or data outlets including at least one outlet at either or both of the upper and lower housing portions. The central housing portion projects upwardly from the base housing portion and supports the upper housing portion at an elevated position spaced above the base housing portion. The electrical power and/or data outlets are in electrical communication with a power or data source, such as a remote source or an onboard source as in a rechargeable battery or capacitor. Where an onboard source is provided, the portable tower is positionable in substantially any desired location and is capable of providing electrical power to other devices when there is sufficient energy stored in the onboard source.

A device for supporting a person may include a thermoelectric generator configured to receive heat provided from the person. The device may further include a first heat conductor overlapping the first thermoelectric generator and configured to conduct the heat to the thermoelectric generator. The device may further include a second heat conductor overlapping the first heat conductor and configured to conduct the heat to the first heat conductor. The first heat conductor may be disposed between the first thermoelectric generator and the second heat conductor. The second heat conductor may be softer than the first heat conductor. The device may further include a heat sink thermally connected to the first thermoelectric generator.

The Adjustable Slant Board was developed to provide a comfortable alternative to sitting, standing, and lying down. It is a collapsible apparatus that when erect allows the user to stand and recline on a platform. The device is comprised of several sections which provide for the adjustment of the angle of the slant board when in use. Reclining the body in an erect position relieves pressure on the lower back while allowing the user the ability to perform many tasks of daily living. When placed in the most comfortable position, the user is free to watch TV eat, read, use electronic devices, etc. The collapsibility of the Adjustable Slant Board allows it to be stored out of the way if only needed occasionally. Slant boards have been used previously in exercise equipment primarily to invert the body. A slant board designed to provide a stable platform from which to perform other tasks more comfortably is novel.

A chair cover includes a back panel configured to fit or cover a backside of a chair; a top or seat panel configured to fit or cover a front and seat area of the chair; and two side panels, each side panel configured to substantially cover an opposing side of the chair. A first fastener extends at least partially along a portion of the chair corresponding to a top or headrest of the chair. Two second fasteners each extend at least partially along a portion of the chair cover corresponding to an armrest of the chair. Each panel includes a flexible or elastic fabric, and the chair cover is configured to prevent a person from sitting in the chair.

A bunk bed includes: a storage area; and a hinged lid that provide access to the storage area, the hinged lid comprising a base and a back support. A bed includes: a baseboard; a set of rails; and a headboard, wherein the headboard comprises a storage area with a lid. A headboard for a bed, the headboard including: a front panel; a pair of side panels coupled to the front panel such that the side panels are perpendicular to the front panel; a rear panel coupled to the side panels such that the rear panel is parallel to the front panel; a top panel coupled to the side panels, such that the top panel is perpendicular to the side panels and the front panel; and a desktop coupled to the side panels such that the desktop is parallel to the top panel.

A wheel cleaning chair is disclosed which, in general, includes a chair seat, a chair base, and a column. The column connects the chair seat and the chair base. The chair base includes two or more wheel assemblies. Each wheel assembly includes a wheel casing and a wheel. The wheel assemblies also include a wheel cleaner proximate each wheel.

A lounge assembly for supporting a portable electronic device having a display screen in a viewable position, the assembly including a base, a hood including a wall structure that includes an internal surface that forms a substantially downwardly opening cavity, the cavity including a front portion and a rear portion, the cavity opening circumscribed by a lower edge that has a front edge portion adjacent the front portion of the cavity and a support device supported by the base adjacent the front edge portion, the support device configured to receive and support the portable electronic device with the device display screen facing at least one of the cavity and a space below the cavity.
