OVERLAY PANEL WITH LIGHT GUIDES FOR A DISPLAY DEVICE
An overlay panel that includes a front display portion arranged over surface area of a display device. The overlay panel further includes a guiding portion that comprises light guides arranged in a specific pattern. The light guides are arranged such that an input portion of each light guide is aligned with pixels or sub-pixels of the display device and an output portion of each light guide is coupled to the front display portion. The arrangement of each light guide transfers an excitation, caused by the set of pixels or sub-pixels, from the input portion to the output portion and causes the front display portion to display an image that covers a bezel portion and the display portion of the display device. Each pixel in the image is scaled by an equal scaling factor with respect to each pixel in display portion.
Disinfecting Methods and Apparatus
According to one implementation an apparatus for bacterially disinfecting a surface is provided. The apparatus includes a flexible body that contains therein at least one radially emitting optical fibers that is configured to emit bacterial disinfecting light. The radially emitting fibers having an axial and/or radial freedom of movement within a channel in which it is housed inside the flexible body such that when the flexible body changes shape the axial and/or radial freedom of movement reduces the amount of tensile stress applied along the length of the radially as compared to an amount of tensile stress that would otherwise be applied to the radially emitting fiber in an absence of the axial and/or radial freedom of movement of the radially emitting fiber inside the channel.
LIGHT FIELD VISION-CORRECTION DEVICE
Devices utilizing holographic 4D plenoptic capture and display technologies to generate a light field function to provide glasses-less vision correction for observers with imperfect vision, and to project an image according to the generated light field function, and methods for calibrating a four-dimensional light field for a user with an uncorrected visual acuity.
LIGHT PIPE BEZEL ARRAY
A light pipe bezel array assembly is provided for improving the alignment of front or rear mounted light pipes as they pass through the holes of an electronic device's panel. The light pipe bezel array assembly includes a bezel array which includes a front side and a back side formed of interconnected bezels. Each bezel includes a conduit which includes a cavity region adjacent to the bezel's front side and a narrower region which is located closer to the bezel's back side. The cavity regions are sized to accept a flange of a rear mounted light pipe. Meanwhile, the conduits' narrow regions have a diameter substantially the same as the outer diameter of the light pipes that are intended to be aligned. The light pipe bezel array assembly includes adhesive plugs located in bezel conduits for affixing the bezel array to an electronic device's panel.
COOKING APPARATUS LIGHT
A seal arrangement for an illumination device of a cooking apparatus, the seal arrangement comprising: a support element including a receiving borehole that penetrates the support element from top to bottom so that a light conductor rod is insertable into the receiving borehole in an insertion direction; a dead hole having a dead hole diameter that is greater than a receiving bore hole diameter of the receiving borehole and arranged concentric with the receiving borehole in the support element wherein a dead hole opening of the dead hole coincides with an inlet opening of the receiving borehole that is arranged upstream in the insertion direction; a first support surface that is formed by a base of the dead hole and that envelopes the receiving borehole in an annular shape where the receiving borehole penetrates the base of the dead hole.
Pillow
A pillow includes: a body having a filler, consisting of bundles of fibers, filled inside a covering having a space therein; a printed pattern formed on the upper surface of the covering; and a light-emitting means which is installed in the body and which emits light towards the covering, on which the printed pattern is formed, so as to allow the printed pattern to produce an aesthetic effect.
Rigid micro-modules with iLED and light conductor
A light-emitting module structure comprises a support substrate and a micro-module disposed on or in the support substrate that extends over only a portion of the support substrate. The micro-module comprises a rigid module substrate, an inorganic light-emitting diode, a power source, and a control circuit. The inorganic light-emitting diode, the power source, and the control circuit are disposed on or in the module substrate and the control circuit receives power from the power source to control the inorganic light-emitting diode to emit light. A light conductor is disposed on or in the support substrate and in alignment with the micro-module so that the inorganic light-emitting diode is disposed to emit light into the light conductor and the light conductor conducts the light beyond the micro-module to emit the light from the light conductor.
Vehicle lamp
Provided is a vehicle lamp capable of uniformly emitting light, which is emitted from light sources and incident on one end surface and the other end surface, from the front surface (lateral surface) thereof. The vehicle lamp includes a light guiding rod extending in a prescribed direction. The light guiding rod includes a front surface, and a rear surface. The front surface includes a first region, a second region, and a third region positioned between the first region and the second region. The first region and the second region are configured to diffuse the light emitted from the first light source and the light emitted from the second light source, in a direction orthogonal to the prescribed direction, respectively. A rear surface is configured to diffuse the light emitted from the first light source and the light emitted from the second light source, in the prescribed direction.
Image display device with optical systems to guide light to a pupil
An image display device with which it is possible to visually recognize an image while securing the see-through property regardless of eye movements and changes in interpupillary distance, with which it is possible to display a large-size image with high quality, and which is small, has excellent wearability, and has an excellent external appearance.
Video projector system
Some embodiments provide for a modular video projector system having a light engine module and an optical engine module. The light engine module can provide narrow-band laser light to the optical engine module which modulates the laser light according to video signals received from a video processing engine. Some embodiments provide for an optical engine module having a sub-pixel generator configured to display video or images at a resolution of at least four times greater than a resolution of modulating elements within the optical engine module. Systems and methods for reducing speckle are presented in conjunction with the modular video projector system.
