Examples relate to a microscope system, such as surgical microscope system, and to a system, a method, and a computer program for a microscope system. The system is configured to obtain sensor data of at least one sensor of the microscope system, the sensor data representing a view of a sample being observed through a microscope of the microscope system. The system is configured to determine a three-dimensional representation of the sample based on the sensor data. The system is configured to determine information on a viewing angle of an observer. The system is configured to determine a computer-generated view of the sample from the viewing angle of the observer based on the three-dimensional representation of the sample. The system is configured to generate a display signal for a display device, the display signal comprising the computer-generated view of the sample.
ADJUSTABLE DIGITAL MICROSCOPE DISPLAY
The present invention relates in general to microscopy systems. In particular, the present invention relates to microscopes rendering digital images of samples, with the capability to digitally control the focus of the microscope system, and the software used to control the operation of the digital microscope system. Further, the present invention relates to a microscope structure that allows for compact and multi-functional use of a microscope, providing for light shielding and control with samples that require specific light wavelength characteristics, such as fluorescence, for detection and imaging. The microscope is adjustable, with a structure that can move along range(s) of motion and degree(s) of freedom to allow for ease of access to samples, shielding of samples, and manipulation of a display apparatus.
Surgical microscope with gesture control and method for a gesture control of a surgical microscope
The present invention relates to a surgical microscope with a field of view and comprising an optical imaging system which images an inspection area which is at least partially located in the field of view, and to a method for a gesture control of a surgical microscope having an optical imaging system. The surgical microscope further comprises a gesture detection unit for detection of a movement of a surgical instrument, the gesture detection unit having a detection zone which is located between the inspection area and the optical imaging system and is spaced apart from the inspection area, and the gesture detection unit being configured to output a control signal to the optical imaging system depending on the movement of the surgical instrument in the detection zone, the optical imaging system being configured to alter its state depending on the control signal.
Imaging systems with micro optical element arrays and methods of specimen imaging
Exemplary systems are for imaging of samples, for example using an array of micro optical elements. In some embodiments, an optical chip including an array of micro optical elements moves relative to an imaging window and a detector in order to scan over a sample to produce an image. A focal plane can reside within a sample or on its surface during imaging. In some embodiments, detecting optics are used to detect back-emitted light collected by an array of micro optical elements that is generated by an illumination beam impinging on a sample. In some embodiments, an imaging system has a large field of view and a large optical chip such that an entire surface of a sample can be imaged quickly. In some embodiments, a sample is accessible by a user during imaging due to the sample being exposed.
SYSTEMS, MEDIA, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR ENHANCED DIGITAL MICROSCOPY
Described herein are improvements in digital microscopy and telepathology. The disclosed technologies enable users to configure digital microscopes remotely.
Confocal microscope with positionable imaging head
A confocal microscope for imaging tissue having an imaging head for capturing optically formed microscopic sectional images of tissue samples, a platform upon which is disposed a linear stage for moving the imaging head along a vertical dimension, and a rotary stage to rotate the linear stage and imaging head about the vertical dimension. A mounting arm couples the imaging head to the linear stage to adjust tilt of the imaging head and to rotate the imaging head about a normal axis perpendicular to an optical axis of an objective lens of the imaging head. In a first mode of operation, the imaging head is positioned to image an ex-vivo or in-vivo tissue sample upon the platform, such as ex-vivo tissue sample mounted upon a movable specimen stage, and in a second mode of operation the imaging head is positioned to image an in-vivo tissue sample beside the platform.
