INTEGRATED OPTICAL LOCKER
An optical assembly includes an optical cavity; an output detector; a reference detector; and a plate beam splitter, wherein the plate beam splitter has a first face and a second face, and is configured to form, from an input beam: a first output beam, that passes through the optical cavity and impinges the output detector, a first reference beam that impinges on the reference detector, a second output beam parallel to the first output beam, and a second reference beam parallel to the first reference beam; one of the first output beam or the first reference beam is a reflection of the input beam in the first face of the plate beam splitter; the output detector is configured to exclude at least a portion of the second output beam; and the reference detector is configured to exclude at least a portion of the second reference beam.
SPECTRAL CONFOCAL MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND MEASUREMENT METHOD THEREOF
A spectral confocal measurement device includes a light source portion, configured to emit a broad-spectrum light beam with a certain wavelength range in a first predetermined path; an optical sampling portion, configured to converge the broad-spectrum light beam emitted from the light source portion on different measurement surfaces of an object to be measured, and output a reflected light in a second predetermined path that is different from a reverse direction of the first predetermined path; and a measurement portion, configured to receive and process the reflected light from the optical sampling portion to obtain a measurement result. The device can improve measurement accuracy and reduce production costs. In addition, a spectral confocal measurement method is also provided.
WIDE ANGLE LENS AND CAMERA SYSTEM FOR PERIPHERAL FIELD OF VIEW IMAGING
Wide angle lens for imaging objects disposed away from the optical axis towards the periphery of the field of view including a surface having an obscuration disposed thereon to reduce the transmission of light therethrough, the obscuration being disposed about an optical axis extending through the wide angle lens.
Beamforming vacuum cell
Beamformers are formed (e.g., carved) from a stack of transparent sheets. A rear face of each sheet has a reflective coating. The reflectivities of the coatings vary monotonically with sheet position within the stack. The sheets are tilted relative to the intended direction of an input beam and then bonded to form the stack. The carving can include dicing the stack to yield stacklets, and polishing the stacklets to form beamformers. Each beamformer is thus a stack of beamsplitters, including a front beamsplitter in the form of a triangular or trapezoidal prism, and one or more beamsplitters in the form of rhomboid prisms. In use, a beamformer forms an output beam from an input beam. More specifically, the beamformer splits an input beam into plural output beam components that collectively constitute an output beam that differs in cross section from the input beam.
Systems and methods for HDR video capture with a mobile device
The invention is relates to systems and methods for high dynamic range (HDR) image capture and video processing in mobile devices. Aspects of the invention include a mobile device, such as a smartphone or digital mobile camera, including at least two image sensors fixed in a co-planar arrangement to a substrate and an optical splitting system configured to reflect at least about 90% of incident light received through an aperture of the mobile device onto the co-planar image sensors, to thereby capture a HDR image. In some embodiments, greater than about 95% of the incident light received through the aperture of the device is reflected onto the image sensors.
Method for co-locating dissimilar optical systems in a single aperture
The system and method for combining two optical assemblies into the same volume, particularly when the field of view of the two assemblies are different, so that the overall volume and swap for the system is reduced. This also allows both subsystems to use the same external protective window, reducing overall cost for a system of co-located dissimilar optical systems in a single aperture.
Chamber Systems For Additive Manufacturing
A method of additive manufacture is disclosed. The method may include creating, by a 3D printer contained within an enclosure, a part having a weight greater than or equal to 2,000 kilograms. A gas management system may maintain gaseous oxygen within the enclosure atmospheric level. In some embodiments, a wheeled vehicle may transport the part from inside the enclosure, through an airlock, as the airlock operates to buffer between a gaseous environment within the enclosure and a gaseous environment outside the enclosure, and to a location exterior to both the enclosure and the airlock.
Multi-Functional Ingester System For Additive Manufacturing
A method and an apparatus for collecting powder samples in real-time in powder bed fusion additive manufacturing may involves an ingester system for in-process collection and characterizations of powder samples. The collection may be performed periodically and uses the results of characterizations for adjustments in the powder bed fusion process. The ingester system of the present disclosure is capable of packaging powder samples collected in real-time into storage containers serving a multitude purposes of audit, process adjustments or actions.
LASER DEVICE, AND LASER PROCESSING DEVICE IN WHICH SAME IS USED
Laser device (100) includes first and second laser oscillators (1), (2) that respectively emit first and second laser lights (LB1), (LB2) having first and second wavelengths, and first and second optical systems (10), (20). First optical system (10) is configured to couple first and second laser lights (LB1), (LB2) to transmit the first and second laser lights to second optical system (20), and second optical system (20) is configured to condense first laser light (LB1) at first condensing position (FP1) and second laser light (LB2) at second condensing position (FP2). A maximum angle formed by an optical axis and an outermost component of first laser light (LB1) emitted from first optical system (10) is different from a maximum angle formed by an optical axis and an outermost component of the second laser light (LB2).
